That was really interesting hearing the follow-up to Tom's testimony, involving the angel from his church. It's pretty neat that the angel was with him in Brazil when he had his encounter with God, and that Tom began sharing about his testimony after the angel told him to. I appreciated Randy's answer regarding the baptism in the Holy Spirit, too. And Justin's comment about having authority where we take responsibility. And many of the other responses, too.

In regards to Bill’s 3 awesome questions presented- I was taught that in the Old Testament the believers knew their was evil but didn’t have an understanding of it like we have it so they attributed everything to God. Also that some of the words God is researched it isn’t God but was translated to God. In the word - I forget the scripture but it says - for this purpose Jesus was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil. IJohn 3:8- i looked it up- So what are your thoughts about that. Could it be that they attributed everything to God because they didn’t know about the devil- they only knew of there was evil and false gods? Jesus revealed a lot about the devil in his ministry. Seems plausible to me- thoughts?

Would like to also add - understanding figures of speech adds to the understanding of what God was saying which helps on this topic.

@@Religion2Relationship Moses wrote a lot of the Old Testament they most definitely were aware of the devil. A lot of Old Testament scriptures are quoted in the New Testament by Jesus and Paul Ect. Moses most likely wrote Genesis as well

Deliverance ministry would disagree. You do take authority in Jesus name over devils and demons. Your success would be increased as a result of intimacy and rest with the Ord as your foundation.

The Apostle Paul was not preaching healing he was preaching the Healer. I did hear Yeshua (Jesus) name a little but very little, and while I realize that “yes” they were answering questions but Paul could barely complete a sentence without the Name Christ in it. Sorry not sorry. Those were not “Biblical experiences” they were telling. The lady and the guy next to her were the most Christ focused on the stage and I am not advocating for or against I’m just focusing on the Main Thing - Jesus (Yeshua).

Who cares what you think, what you decree, what your opinion is, Jesus said to preach the Gospel ( do you happen to be familiar with it?) Your leg growing, and toenail healing garbage are not from God. Galatians 1:8 Verse Concepts But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!

SRY but miracles ARE the gospel. Miracles are the calling card of the Holy Spirit and the gospel Paul preached. So the OTHER GOSPEL must be what you believe. Why would you teach a gospel different from the one Paul preached?. The gospel he received by Revelation from Jesus? A powerless gospel that so many believe is "another gospel"

@@paulrobinson9318 Actually signs and wonders are not part of the gospel that Paul received. His point in 1 Cor 13:8, that certain gifts would cease, would make little sense otherwise.
@paulrobinson93184 жыл бұрын
+@@guojing88 Hi - I'm afraid your Biblical understanding is a bit colored by false teaching and denominationalism - ALL the Gift are here til that which is perfect is COME - Jesus return and the Kingdom of GOD on earth - NONE cease before the others - some are NOT needed in the Kingdom of GOD some are - BUT NONE disappear til Christ returns - WHY would you think they WOULD? "1 Cor 13:8 Love never ends. But if there are prophecies, they will be set aside; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part, 10 but when what is perfect comes, the partial will be set aside." Tongues and knowledge will be set aside at the same time - has knowledge been set aside yet? Prophesies will be set aside - have all the prophesies yet been fulfilled? The answer is obviously NO!!! Where is this perfect thing that was to preceded your cessation? "@Paul Robinson Actually signs and wonders are not part of the gospel that Paul received." ANY evidence for that? I suggest that the two were and are intertwined . . . and CANNOT be separated. Paul received the baptism of the Holy Spirit from Jesus - and miracles come with that as they do today - how would he have known to do miracles - long before he met with any of the church leaders? "His point in 1 Cor 13:8, that certain gifts would cease, would make little sense otherwise." Since you misunderstand WHEN the perfect will come and what it is, and you cannot claim knowledge is still here but tongues are gone and prophesy has all been fulfilled - you cannot make sense of the meaning of this passage with a cessationist deception.

@@paulrobinson9318 Signs and wonders are always given for a specific purpose. Paul, after he was saved and commissioned to reach the Gentiles with the Gospel of Grace, was given signs and wonders in order for the apostles, as well as the other Jewish believers, to know that he was indeed sent by God and his new gospel of the uncircumcision is a valid one. If you recall Acts 15, the Jerusalem Council, what was one important reason how the Jewish believers were convinced by Paul and Baranabas? Vs 12 clearly states All the people kept silent, and they were listening to Barnabas and Paul as they were relating what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles. Notice that, unlike for us today, they cannot be convinced anyone telling them to "accept Paul by faith". If you are unable to produce signs, the Jews are not going to believe you. It was true from Moses in Exodus 4.

+@@guojing88 "@Paul Robinson Signs and wonders are always given for a specific purpose. " YES, becauae that accompany the Gispel. "Paul, after he was saved and commissioned to reach the Gentiles with the Gospel of Grace, was given signs and wonders in order for the apostles, as well as the other Jewish believers, to know that he was indeed sent by God and his new gospel of the uncircumcision is a valid one. Where do you find that? Jesus attached the working of miracles to the Great commission - long before Paul - Paul wrote that GOD established the Gifts ansd ministries in the church - they were NEVER going to be take away til Christ returned - and that those signs FOLLOWED the preaching of the Gospel - NOT necessarily go before it. Wherever the gospel was preached signs and wonders were to accompany that preaching. Read your Bible - its PLAIN as the nose on your face if you have NOT been taught doubt by a false denomination. I was - and fought it for years. If you recall Acts 15, the Jerusalem Council, what was one important reason how the Jewish believers were convinced by Paul and Baranabas? Vs 12 clearly states" . . . "All the people kept silent, and they were listening to Barnabas and Paul as they were relating what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles." AT least you didn't quote me the KJ. "Notice that, unlike for us today, they cannot be convinced anyone telling them to "accept Paul by faith". If you are unable to produce signs, the Jews are not going to believe you. It was true from Moses in Exodus 4. " HUH? That makes no sense to me. What are you trying to say - IF signs and wonders were part of the preaching of the gospel in Paul's day - and the church at Jerusalem took it as EVIDENCE of the validity of Paul's teaching - why is it any less a validation of the Gospel today? YOU seem to find some imaginary reason that the Gospel does NOT need signs and wonders today - yet we KNOW those signs and wonders are just as common today as they were in Paul's day - and maybe moreso - they STILL validate the preaching of the gospel - as Jesus said they would. Nothing in your passage supports cessationism in any possible way. For ONE good reason - NOTHING had passed away. Where the whole gospel is preached, miracles follow.
