I'm 2 years late but whatever. It's not uncommon for the game to consider Sora as being hit despite the fact that no attack effectively hit him, which triggers the image change but not a health loss. It happens frequently when you use anything that involves invincibility frames (e.g. dodges, combo breakers, Limit attacks, etc.), especially when the timing is tight. Play the game for yourself and you'll see if you pay close attention.

Xemnas I's damage there is actually avoidable. I did it once, but it requires near frame perfect timing, most likely. Wether it does or not, it's pretty difficult, so you're fine. ^^
