One additional person we need to keep in mind when thinking who the Lost Master is there are three distinct possibilities the first 2 are as Damo says, but we also need to remember that the term Lost Master is applicable to Ava as she should be included of the tale of the Lost masters Eraqus and Xehanort are discussing additionally she is the only Master we have absolutely no information at this time and is the only one that could be considered truly Lost.

Loving the videos! Just binged all your recap videos after seeing recommendations for them on some other reveal reaction videos. Something I realized while watching your analysis of the trailer, is how the narration we hear, could also be kinda read as a message to the audience on a narrative level. The whole quote of: “It this isn’t the ending you desired - if it brings you despair - then leave this world for another. Your options are endless. However - if you do leave this world behind, don’t expect to return to the one from which you came - “ could kinda be interpreted as saying to us the audience: If you didn’t like how the last game ended, and/or if you don’t like the direction the new game is heading, then leave this series and play something else because there are infinite options. But if you do leave the series, don’t expect it to eventually go back to the way it was when you left. So this story is going to be different from what it was in the last three installments, and the writers are dedicated to going forward with this new direction. I doubt that’s what was intended by that narration, but it’s one possible extra interpretation that I got from it.

My theory on the lost master the name of the arc refers to: I think each individual game in this arc could refer to its own lost master, while still having the overarching one, because this is kinda sorta how the dark seeker saga did it if you think about it. KH1 is Ansem, KH2 is Xemnas, etc etc, but Xehanort is the overarching dark seeker. So for the lost master arc, maybe for KH4 that refers to Sora, maybe a side game will feature Lea and Isa and the Twilight Town crew searching for the girl in the KH3 secret reports (probably Skuld), while there’s still the overarching lost master who will be the big bad of the arc and of the final game in the arc. And that one would of course be the Master of Masters…unless it isn’t? Because really, he isn’t ‘lost’ per se. He seems to come and go as he pleases, and in the trailer is right there next to presumably Luxu. Also, Luxu brought back four of the other ‘lost’ masters…so they aren’t lost anymore either. Except for one of them, one character that we really don’t officially know the whereabouts for, and who’s last known location is really unknown. Yep, that’s right, I think there’s an argument to be made that Ava is the ‘lost master’ the whole arc refers to. Because while we have some individual lost masters, Ava is the only one right now that nobody knows where they are. Skuld is kinda lost to us in the audience right now but we actually have something of a timeline of her movements and know more recently where she was. Sora will probably be ‘found’ by the end of KH4. And the MoM doesn’t seem too ‘lost’. But we really have no clue where Ava is at this point. Anyways thanks for coming to my TEDTalk.

I thought I'd outgrown the series after Kingdom Hearts 3, but I think it turns out I had just missed all of the incredible lore and world-building that was being done by the mobile games! 3 things to have in mind that have been presented or stated on the series that must be had in mind: 1st Terranort wasn't sending Kairi through time, but through space. 2nd Also we don't know who the person that Lea and Isa knew and was being experimented by Terranort was taken by and hide by Luxu. So there is the chance that Strelitzia is that person and she was send to Quadratum. The 3rd thing, it's that Riku states in DDD that each world has it's own time axies and they don't necessary match the same with different worlds, so it's possible that in this new realm for what Sora is 7 days, it has been a whole year for his friends.

The girl from the castle was not Strelitzia though. She died, she is gone from the fictional world. Her heaven/afterworld is where they are now. Skulld is still the main contender for that role or Ava to some degree. Still speculation of course but with all of the info we have right that seems to be the case

For the case of darkness in this place where neither light nor darkness should exist, I think it's tied to what Lron explained about the Keyblade in KH1: That heartless will keep coming after Sora as long as he wields it. Possibly the same holds true for other Keyblade wielders aka MoM, Luxu, Strelitzia who seemingly came to Quadratum before Sora did.

Based on the KH13 Q&A, “since Yozora is so strong I thought it would be better to put something in the game “if he loses””, I think that just means Nomura put that there for the game because the character is so hard to fight and not because he was meant to lose in the story.

Hey damo I have a question/ theory so you know when you said that towards the end that darkness could have been coming in because of the master of master and lucios but couldn't it also be because of sora because in kh1 we hear leon say that the heartless will follow the keyblade so couldn't they just have followed sora through into the new world. also a theory at 7:48 when you are talking about kh4 trailer doesn't it look like sora is struggling to even summon the keyblade because originally the keyblade just showed up right away this one look like it took a couple of seconds to even show up just a thought I could be wrong.

There's too much to talk about, so the one thing I'll say is I think the Kingdom Key calls on the memory of Sora's former powers to make swirly light versions of those attacks. And that Sora's memories could be at risk, and maybe the physical body he inhabits in Quadratum is what's stolen and becomes Yozoras body? Nice on you for pronouncing Hikarie right and for recognizing the door bell, which is a little blended with the music lol. Can't wait for more damo content! Also already so sick of the Star Wars theories. Endor barely had any memorable or major water features and the trees are redwood trees, very different than the trailers forest, which makes me think of a Versus XIII trailer moment where young Noctis runs through woods into Regis' arms

When i was younger and first saw Disney's purchase of Lucas Films and Marvel, it made me incredibly happy. Not for a new and terrible unneeded star wars sequel series or anything, but for Kingdom Hearts. To a little kid nothing sounds cooler than the idea of Sora wielding a lightsaber Keyblade and cracking jokes with Spiderman. And hell i still think it would be an awesome thing so see in the series. But i can definitely understand why people wouldn't like the inclusion of either. Especially when a lot of people now just want Disney to be completely not a part of the KH franchise.

I think I have a tiny theory: In the KH3 Remind Secret episode, Sora fights Yozora. In it, if you win, then Yozora vaporizes and it cuts to him in a car with a man as the driver (possibly Luxord). If you lose, then Sora gets crystallized and it again cuts to Yozora in the car. My theory is that Sora getting crystallized is indeed canon, and that he was transported to the real quadratum, (the one we see in the trailer, not the one we see in the KH3 secret movie.

Regarding the narration, my jp sources say both trailers were done by the same VA, and that it's a character we already know, but it's either one who hasn't been voiced yet or one who changed his appearance or something. It's been specified that it's not Brain, so maybe it's hinting to another KHUX/DR character, maybe even the Player, or it could be one of Luxu's future bodies. There was also speculation that the VA sounds like the one that voices YH (and I agree with that, though I wouldn't say for sure that it's him)

I'm personally a fan of the idea of Star Wars and Marvel being in KH. As you said, the great similarities between KH lore and the Force could make a great plot point for the growth of Sora and his understanding of Quadratum's reality. Also his "abuse" of the power of waking could be used for a talk about heroes' responsability with Spiderman or Ironman. Spiderman, especially in recent times, share a lot of things with Sora. Like Sora, he is viewed both as the future "best of us all", as said by Captain America in the Ultimate Universe, and as a junior hero, like in the MCU. There is a lot to work with. With all these similar plot points and bits of lore they could actually make the Disney worlds matter again in the main story arch.

My Theory about who the Master of Masters is I now believe he is a younger version of Ansem The Wise/Diz. Both are researchers, good at Tech and data world creations. Both had 6 apprentices with them both being 7 and both put their hands behind their backs, and Ansem the wise is called Master by all of his apprentices.

My question is if we get a star wars kh4 world then how will they make sora able to combat lightsabers without his keyblade turning into a lightsaber keyblade beforehand? If we normally get the weapons after the world we visit?? Unless they somehow explain that his keyblade is indestructible...

I could see all the foretellers being in KHIV and they were just “missing” in the trailer. The chessboard had all of them against Sora so only two of them in Quadratum is odd.

Honestly, now learning what I've missed from Union Cross, I now feel more lost as to what the hell even is the plan with the freaking story. But I'm along for the ride. I just hope we all live long enough to see it end.
