Going to agree with that. Dan is a better VA than most LPers out there. He may not get everything perfect (and who could apart from the original voice cast), but he gets the inflections and tone close enough on most of them that I can EASILY tell which character's lines he's reading without looking at the screen. That takes talent! Dan, if you're reading this, I've never once felt that I'm "suffering through" your voice work. Keep on being awesome!

Maleficent will always be my favorite Disney Villain, and SOLELY because of this franchise. As manipulated as she was in the end, it showed off her true character better than that new movie did (as well acted as it could have been, SERIOUS props to angelina jolie.). Powers of Hell, turns into a dragon, has a crow for a familiar, GREAT portrayals in both voice and in physical form, and one of the best roles could have given in the series for villains. Seriously glad it wasn't the Queen that got the role, Maleficent just feels right.

I think the original main villain was supposed to be Grimhilde, the Evil Queen from Snow White. Also, watch Sleeping Beauty someday. It's WAY better than it gets credit for, as long as you realize Aurora and Phillip are supposed to be supporting cast.

You're correct in your assumption, Dan. This game was dubbed to the Japanese VO animations, unlike most of the Kingdom Hearts games. Re:Chain of Memories was more or less a budget PS2 release for Square Enix and it shows.

Also it was in context with her quoting the line from the movie Sleeping Beauty. When Axel said this, it was in the context of a swear. "Give me one hell of a show!" Naturally, it was taken out of Re:Com.

For someone who's not confident in his voice acting skills, or really trying all that hard, you're not doing half bad. I've been voice acting for about 6 years now (on a strictly amateur level) and some of your voices sound better than mine. (I envy your ability to voice Hook) If I had one complaint (besides the prounciation of "Sleight", which I have reconciled myself to you not seeing the "It's pronounced slight" comments until well after this series is done), it'd be that you don't *commit* to the voices. If you tried, really got into it, you could probably do half the cast serious justice. Of course, I say that as you're about to get into some of THE most difficult characters to voice in the entirety of Disney canon, so.

Awesome! We got footage of deckbuilding. As a Johnny-type card game player, this is what I wanted to see. I found it remarkable that David Ogden Stiers also reprised his role for the entire Lilo & Stitch TV show. It must have been rather expensive, but the entire show felt like it was on the high end as far as TV animation budget goes.

BTW Dan, since you record multiple levels in advance can I make a suggestion that you make sure to go into the Bonus rewards room (with a Key To Rewards card) in the world after Hundred Acre Woods (i.e. the next Rewards room that you find since there isn't one in Hundred Acre Woods). Inside is a sleight that, in my opinion, is the best ability in the game: it has the advantage of hitting ground and flying foes, hitting multiple enemies at once or if there is only one enemy (i.e. a boss) then all the hits focus on that enemy, (and unlike Sonic Blade, it can't be dodged). Plus, it doesn't have a score range requirement to use it. TL,DR: UPCOMING WORLD SPOILERS: only saying this for clarity for Dan. Use the Key To Rewards card to enter the bonus room in Destiny Islands to get the Sleight Judgement - I highly recommend you use this one. For the latter stages of the game, you're going to struggle a lot if you stick to only Blitz or Sonic Blade both because bosses can dodge them, and the score requirement means they're sleights will likely break yours.

Beauty and the Beast is dedicated to Howard Ashman with a line that reads "To our friend Howard, who gave a mermaid her voice and a beast his soul, we will be forever grateful." 3. I think it was bundled with the Final Mix because that was how you originally got the Organization Cards (rather than watching the 358/2 Days movie from the re-re-re-rerelease bundle).

So, weird fact about Marluxia that I found out recently. In ye olden days of the KH-verse, there was a Keyblade War, which caused the worlds to split, right? Well, in the aftermath of that, the surviving keyblade wielders, having been safeguarded by one of the Master of Masters' students, had 5 people become the leaders of the 5 new unions. Three of them we wouldn't know, as they haven't shown up outside of the phone game in which they're relevant. The other 2 were, I kid you not, Lauriam - whose nobody is Marluxia, and flippin' Ventus! Blew my mind when I saw it. Hopefully, it comes up in 3 to some extent, but I'm not counting on it.

Dan's guess that the voice actors had to time their voices to the Japanese lip-sync is probably correct because this game was first released as a Japanese exclusive bundled with Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix in 2007. The game was later dubbed over and released in North America only in late 2008. I'm guessing the lip-sync wasn't redone for English because it would have been too much effort so it was just timed the Japanese, you can even see more evidence of this when the characters' faces are using the low res version and are talking, how they open and close their mouths are different from what they're saying.

You know, I gotta say, Nobodies who supposedly don't have hearts or emotions (just memories) really are the best characters of this entire series in my mind. They actually have personality and relationships besides token girl, good guy, and jealous edgy all empowered by the power of friendship. I know that's oversimplification, but still, Organization 13's bickering, largely varied behaviors, and different motivations make them so much more interesting and fun to watch. It's why 365 is my favorite game and why I like Roxas so much more.

2:00 Did they change that for the 3D PS2 version? Because I just played through the GBA version and all three decks can definitely share cards. I know this for definite because often I'd only have one copy of a card (i.e. new keyblade type, new item, or a recent premium card) and I'd add it to all three decks at once. Are you sure they changed this? It's such an odd added resriction to have.

Man, I guess it's disney's influence, but animation in this game is just so... diferent. Larxene and the others, despite being rather plainly dressed, say so much with their body and posture compared to other squeenix games, 3d anime characters tend to look so stiff. I think it's just a bit overacted at times, but I much preffer it to lightning's constant pantene-model-pose all day, any day.
