For future viewers, the latest entry in the KH series is Melody of Memory, so if other games have released, featuring this character, I clearly couldn't have included scenes from those games since it did not exist yet during the release of this video.

Personally I always loved the KH version of Maleficent way more that the original Sleeping Beauty movie. Her motivations in the film were pretty simple( for a product of its time.) curse a princess for not getting invited to the christening was pretty basic, even for a simple premise. But trying to use the Heartless and rule all the universe is epic, She is called the Mistresses of all evil, you sort of expect her to want to do more and rule the KH worlds.

In Sleeping Beauty (1959), Maleficent was the voice of Eleanor Audley, who voiced also as Lady Tremaine in Cinderella (1950)

It’s sounds more like she’s talking to darkness. Sure that was replica riku in the graveyard but I don’t think this is. Remember the kh1 riku had on vanitas clothing?

@@wonderingobserver2231 This is Replica Riku, from the past before he found out he was a replica. In the start of COM he THOUGHT he was the real riku because he was implanted with all of his memories, this why he is talking to Maleficent like he knew her but in reality they never met

@@123jov5 Maybe it is simply replica riku that is a good point that he has the same memories but they made this pretty cryptic and they like to leave little hints like this. But I’m sure at some point dark riku of some form will be revealed to be one of the darknesses. There’s too many hints.

I think the riku at San fransokyo is darkness. Replica riku is separate. I mean listen to the buzzwords and maleficent saying she doesn’t know from when he is.

He's just Riku Replika with Riku memorie from Chain Of Memorie. Maleficent was just thinking this was Riku from KH1.

@@mimiquoi7380 Yeah but I’m saying that replica riku was only in keyblade graveyard and this one is darkness disguised. I’m saying this is darkness and that he’s the one from kh 1 because of the cryptic wording throughout the whole conversation. His wording is just like one of the darknesses from ux and she says she doesn’t know from “when” with a lot of emphasis. That, and the fact that in kh 1 he had on vanitas clothing. That, and they keep randomly showing brown coat ansem which I don’t think is just a bunch of coincidences. It’s just a theory but I really don’t think they would give him and vanitas the same clothing for nothing.

Like I said it’s just a theory, but his wording to maleficent and the vanitas clothing is just too much of a coincidence to overlook he could very well be darkness disguised as riku.

I always thought the Developer's should have utilized her more in BBS and KH3. Side note: I kind of wanted 'Santa Heartless' to be a boss for Part 2 of Halloween Town in KH2.

I got to admit I was a little disappointed on how Maleficent was used in KH3 . Next to Xeanorth I always saw her as the other big bad of the KH universe. From being the leader of the Disney Villains group in the first game ( which at that age was like the best thing ever ) to just showing up from time to time to plan her next move and remain on the sidelines in KH 3 . I hope the next games find a way to bring her back and set up a new council of villains. ( maybe resurrect some of the classics since the best are dead. )
