This fight took me 12 hours to do. 11 of them was when I hadn’t realized that duck flair makes you invincible while doing constant damage towards him. Switching forms can restore your magic for a spam of duck flairs.

@TheSuperforestman It's a Death Counter, dude. The number on the counter is represented by your current level, which in ZSlyzer's case was 31. Each time Sora takes damage from Marluxia (Save for one or two attacks), the counter goes down by one. If it gets to Zero, then it's Game Over. -inb4someonedoesn'tbothertoreadandasksthisagain-

@ARWINGx1 More-or-less. There are some attacks that, like I said, don't lower the counter but just damage Sora regularly. An example being the dark holes with thorns in that Marly summons.

It's funny; before I knew anything about Kingdom Hearts, I had already known the name Marluxia for some reason. Yet the way I remember it, he was mentioned in something outside the Kingdom Hearts outline

Yeah, this fight is a pain. I did it myself, but not nearly as classy as ZSlyzer did. The fight works that way. You don't take damage from anything other than Marluxia's magic (the dark pools, the eruptions, and the thorns), he kills you by reducing the counter over you to zero. Every time he hits you with the scythe you lose one count. There's a reaction command called Rob Count that restores 13 points for you, though.

Actually, this battle isn't so hard, you just to have at least level 1 of each growth ability(Glide isn't needed,and you probaly will fight him before you get to the world that never was) and know how to use it.

to answer your question: you can't. but it seems like they don't appear straight down from him. but you can jump and then aerial dodge to where they aren't. cheers
