You do know the 2008 English dub for this came out during Haley Osment’s 2nd puberty. The original GBA version just used archived voice clips from KH1. 😂

Sad as shit seeing everyone hate this game for its gameplay when it spells everything out to you, how to counter, how to build a card deck with some thought, and how you're able to manipulate the world rooms to beat the world in just a couple of minutes. I beat this game several times over when I was 10 because I didn't have a memory card. One of my favorite room cards was the pitch black room with shadows only which lets you farm cards and exp.

Technically, you should be playing 358/2 Days Which takes place while Sora is sealed away. You'll learn a ton about Org 13, Roxas, Kairi, and other... super important characters. KH2 will make a ton more sense. At least watch the cutscenes. Though I wouldn't blame you for moving straight to KH2. It's the best game of the series. And the 2.5 edition makes it even better.

A lot easier to have Roxas introduced in 2 have that story play out with him still being abit of a mystery then finishing up with his backstory and origin in 358

Thank you for this compilation. I am playing through the Kingdom Hearts series for the first to see what all the hype was about. I beat the first game and I was actually interested in trying Re:Chain of Memories when I heard it had a card battling system - because I normally like card/deck building games. But this game made all the wrong choices when developing this combat system. I don't know whose idea it was to have card-based battling while dodging/moving in real-time in a 3D space - especially with the card break countering system. It's like trying to play a Dark Souls game but every time you want to attack you have to open up your inventory and select an attack item in order to try to swing your weapon - a while trying to dodge/parry boss attacks. I gave this game a solid 4ish hours and I was done. It simply was not fun. Thanks again for this compilation video.

This is just one of those games that really suffers due to their mechanics. They story isn’t even that bad it’s a good tilting point between 1 and 2 but the god damn card system just makes it painful to play. I will say I am very excited to playthrough all the games in order especially the Ventus era seeing that I never beat them when I was younger and no little to nothing about the story. Played 1, re:chain, 2, and 358/2 all but re:chain multiple times but the series just fell off for me after that. So in prep for KH4 I’m slowly making my way through the entire series now onto my personal favorite KH2. God I can’t wait to get to the timeless river world again that shit is so damn nostalgic 😂

Im playing through the other games (just bought 1.5 + 2.5 recently). Got through 1 and birth by sleep, started this, and saw Axel say the same thing as Lea and really wanted to get the lore, but even playing on "beginner" I was struggling to keep track of everything and struggled to win any of the boas fights. If you ever want to finish it, the trick is simply to get better sleights and build your deck to be back to back sleights. By hour 3, if you plan it out and basically dedicate every level to card points and sleights then you just mash Y every battle to win. I beat the game doing one sleight 30 times in a row, I made my Y a turbo button and held it. Took 14 hours, but I beat it.

Nah you just have to be super fast at cancelling sleights with 0s and using boss cards right or heartless cards and you can just breeze through the game easily both versions lol and for weaker entries compared to kh1 and 2 they are solid better gameplay wise then days at least 😂

Just started playing tonight and was already like “WTF is the card playing bullsh*t?” I’ve never seen a game like this with combat playing cards. I’ll give it a shot again tomorrow or so. I guess it’s going to take time to figure it out. Thanks for uploading this. When I played KH2 years ago, I always wondered how and why Sora was in the Pod. Now, I know why.

they just dropped this franchise on steam so i was playing this series for the first time. Then... i got to this game. I'm on floor 10 and then i click this video and Im only 1 hour of cutscenes in. the timing of the bosses is more annoying than elden ring (im on easiest difficulty), and the cards... the damn cards... yeah i dont need to punish myself last time i checked games were fun. Thank you sir im just gonna lay back and watch this video and move on to kh 2.

Just lost about 2 hours of progress. This video helped so that i didn't have to play the rest of the game. I love the story but... the card system just isnt my thing.

One of my favorite games story wise but refuse to play through it again due to the horrible game play. Wish they made 358/2 playable and this one a movie in the remix instead, but oh well. Birth By Sleep still #1 for me
