KINGDOM (킹덤) EP. 10 pt. 2 FINALE REACTION (ft. my Mom and Sister) | Honest Opinions

Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel.
I am so sorry for the delay; I was on vacation and did not bring my laptop to edit while I was away! Sorry for the delay!
This week was the last episode of Kingdom: Legendary War. So, to make it easier, my mom, sister, and I decided to split the reaction into two videos. In part 2, we reacted to the special stage performed by vocalists of each of the 6 groups, BTOB, Ateez, and Stray Kids.
While I have problems with Mnet and the show itself, each group put 100% into these last performances to showcase why each of them deserved to be number one. Regardless of the final results, I believe each of these groups deserved to be crowned.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me and my Kingdom reactions. This series was a blast to make, and I hope everyone enjoyed it just as much as we did.

Seungmin released some covers so if you want to listen to them you can find under SKZ records- Seungmin. Some other vocal heavy SKZ songs you may enjoy are Slump and Never ending story. I would recommend Slump - The First Take which was a live recording.

so, being an atiny since say my name era, their final performance actually made me very emotional. at the final of their answer stage, jongho throws the crown away, and then we have in their next stage ateez having fun with their "competition", with for me symbolizes that they don't care about the results anymore, they just want to do a great stage, make some friends, and mostly important, make their fans proud (and they always does 💕). this stage shows for everyone what they are trying to say through the song, that "the real" coolness is staying humble and grateful, sticking to your beliefs and to never forget where you came from (they put little things from their past eras to, like sane doing the say my name dance and jongho breaking the apple). im so so so proud of them for everything they did on kingdom and through this year so far. congratulations for the other amazing 5 grups who also made incredible performances, and for all of the fandoms who worked really hard! thanks for the reaction 💖

Peniel put 7 hearts on his head on 1 of "Show Your Love" promotions, each represent their members. The Chapter 1 Finale is for their 1st 10-year as a group and they are now on a new chapter. I believe that Wolfgang served its purpose especially for a finale song. It’s whether you love it or not, it is imprinted on you and you will remember it for sure. It had those elements in it that even if in case it’s not your cup of tea, you will still find it in the back of your head. And mind you there’s nothing wrong if you ever find some SKZ songs like that. They have been so experimental with their music always trying to come up with something different that’s why everytime they have a new song, they say they hope we will like it. Song making for them, they don’t do it for public’s satisfaction or for what sells best. They do it out of genuine love for the craft and just hope and see who will appreciate it. They have such wide range of their discography, from topics to the sounds itself, that it will just be useless if someone tries to discredit them again. Again it’s okay to not like some of their songs, but just hear them out and you’ll surely like something from them. As for Stray Kids being the most popular one, I am a STAY and I still believe up until now that there are some groups who has much bigger fanbases both internationally and especially domestically. It’s just that STAYs I believe are really much more united into doing things for the success of our fave. Everytime there’s rumors coming that they ranked low, we go on lockdown and make more whosfan accounts and prepare whatever we can prepare for the next rounds. We even did the same routine at times they did good. Up until the very last minute we never really thought they’d get that. We were just praying and at the same time working hard for that and now I am happy to say here they are. 💖 I’ve come to know you this Kingdom journey! It’s been fun to watch you. the united feel was definitely felt in the 2nd part of round 3, when during the day ikons views per hour would be much more than ours, but then during the night our numbers continued to stay consistent, whereas ikons fell. its all down to cohesion and a good understanding of which hours need filling to make it consistent across each continent

@@herozero8809 I agree. It just doesn't make sense whenever they say Stray Kids won out of popularity because we wouldn't have to work our asses off during those times if that was the case. Stays have 10 and even more whosfan accounts themselves alone that's why Stray Kids has so much followers on Whosfan. It's a matter of hardwork and dedication. Not that we are discrediting the hardworks of other groups or fandom, it's just that they should not point out popularity is the reason Skz won.

Oh yeah, all those rage streaming and spartan pressure to get the fandom moving. Ppl might think we are privileged as a "bigger fandom" and i know some stays are proud of that (isolated cases, they didnt participate coz they relied on other stays to support skz, like not because they can't but because theyre too comfortable) We were so panicked during the streaming finals, too, because we know we are domestically disadvantaged. Heck, we even busted a fanbase for scamming kstays in the process. Kingdom was literally a war for Stays, I felt like going thru stages of prepping, cross-fire, and depression until we claimed victory.

Through out Kingdom, from Intro to their Finale stage, SKZ mix/insert Mozart's SYMPHONY #40 in every songs they used for their stages. If you look at the lyrics of WOLFGANG, they used Metaphor/Wordplay (actually they used it a lot on every songs they make). Bang Chan said on his latest vlive, they make music not just bcuz for people to listen to or to make people like their music base on the sounds, but they make music to deliver the messages they want to convey to their fans or to the people in general. Their songs are NOT JUST A "SONG", u know what i mean? Cuz every songs they make it always have a deeper meaning. That's why a lot of people called Stray Kids MUSICAL & POETIC GENIUSES. Btw, did u know that SKZ Write, Compose & Produce ALL of their songs from Pre-debut until now including Wolfgang?👌👑😊

Most self-producing groups make music to deliver a message (and most music producers make music to deliver a message of some kind)…I know of 6 groups off the top of my head that are self-producing idol groups whose goal is to deliver a message while still having people enjoy themselves. I will give you an example from Kingdom…BTOB. At least 1 member of BTOB (currently 3 of the 6 members are involved in producing all of their songs) has been involved in composing, writing, or arranging (producing) their songs since before debut (2012). BTOB has always said “we sell emotions, not albums” because their goal in music is to help heal those who are hurting and tired. They have been working for almost 10 years to deliver amazing songs & performances that will help uplift those in need of healing. So, Stray Kids goal in music is not unique to them…their music and sound is unique to them but their goal in producing music is not unique. Another self-producing group with the goal of delivering messages is BTS.

@@cindih78 Yes but BTS or BTOB don't really lead their group. What I mean by that is that Stray Kids has produced each song from debut and before there isn't a single song that wasn't produced by them wich isn't the case for BTOB or BTS even if the rap line from BTS is constitued of the best producers and songwritters that I have ever seen. Stray Kids don't "participed" in their music but created it, it's them who lead the creating proces and who make the major decisions. (happy that they are in div1 ☺) When it comes to concept it's them who choose too. Example our bangtan boys don't know half of their own storyline (not a bad thing, it's so hard to understand so it's totally normal) but Stray Kids know exactly what they do and their story (at the same time it isn't as complex as the BU I agree). They are respected in their company because of what they do JYP who habitually controls everything don't touch them. They know what they want and where they're going.

@@cindih78 You're clearly mistaken about what self-producing is. SKZ's 3RACHA are the main producers who write and compose their whole discography and Bang Chan's even involved in track-making and arrangement as well. BTS' involvement is mostly the rappers writing their own verses, the songs are made by like 5+ other producers. I don't mean any disrespect to them but I couldn't stay silent when you tried to discredit SKZ here. Check the credits of the albums of your faves before claiming they are solely self-producing idols.

@@cindih78 What i meant was SKZ WHOLE DISCOGRAPHIES in their Albums Produced and Made ONLY by SKZ themselves. They also wrote songs about BULLYING, HEALING and even MENTAL ILLNESS cuz BangChan and Jisung both suffered from mental illness a few years ago. SKZ also known as a MALA TASTE PIONEER, which means they are their OWN GENRE. They break rules of kpop industries to give their fans and other people something NEW and they continue to experiment bcuz they are the only kpop group who is brave enough to do so.

Thank you for the reactions!! I enjoyed all the kingdom reaction series :) Little explanations to enjoy the performance to the fullest, Ateez's performance had a lot of korean elements in it! : 1. Each members speaking the same phrase ‘this is 멋’ in their own dialect from their hometowns (different provinces) before each chorus, ending with Jongho’s standard korean used in Seoul at the very end of the song. 2. The leaders- 선도부 means 'leader for the good' - They are senior students allocated in the school entrance each morning with the role to looking over others, typically wearing an armband, just like how Seonghwa emphasised it at the beginning. So Ateez is trying to convey that real '멋' (coolness?taste? for direct translation?) is all about the humbleness and kindness and leading for good! Kind of like a social message embedded within the song which is very Ateez like haha. 3.. The kites, lion dance, the little puppet play and Korean instruments mixed into the dance break were very original korean festival aspects there too :) 4.. The funny fact about the chickens is that it's basically referring to Korean word called 'chicken head' referring someone as 'foolish person', towards the bullies during Hongjoong's part basically! / the rice field goes with Hongjoong’s lyrical reference to the korean proverb- “rice plant bows down more it becomes ripe” - so to become more humble and modesty as you learn and experience to become a better person 5.. The Korean words written in the flag(it's like a Korean pinata used during festivals) beside everyone's team logos says "Kingdomz, well done, let's have beef (classic fancy food to eat after big event in Korea) for dinner tonight", in a dialect, in a very cheeky way (that's why other teams are laughing) 6.. When Wooyoung's part saying "bow in 90 degrees", that's showing respect to the elders/teachers, which is very humble and respectable way in korean Confucianism, which they played out very cutely with a wink! :) Hopefully this explained some cultural elements, which I enjoyed a lot as Korean Atiny :)

Fan fact: yes, kingdom is a popularity contest since they added 50% fan votes. YES, SKZ worked hard for it too because if u remove fan influence, they still won :D I have a love hate relationship against Kingdom because it had the best idol interactions but the sh*tiest production.

Because in the end, Stray Kids “popularity” took them from 11,000 points to 38,000 points. Plus the “popularity” did impact 66% (4/6) groups rankings. So, in the end, “popularity” did make a huge difference. Plus Stray Kids “popularity” put them 15000 points above the next group….that was 100% from popularity.

Aww thank you for understanding! I still like the song regardless of it sounding noisy to me. After I heard it on Spotify and not on my IPad, it sounded more “balance” if you know what I mean. The IPad didn’t help. I knew saying that it sounded noisy would get some misunderstandings, but in no way was I try to be disrespectful, just how it initially sounded to me. I wont hate on you for describing wolfgang as noise, it does overwhelm you esp when it's not your preferred genre :) yes, some songs from skz need a double-hear to fully appreciate, i know some who didnt like Side Effects until they listened to it again. Besides, i honestly wanted a more "live" version of Wolfgang since the backtrack is overwhelming on this one, but it does match the exuding domination going on so I just bark along HAHAHA (saying Chan's section looked kinky is so funny, Stay twt lost their minds. my TL was full of him post kingdom)

Umm alright.... you can disagree and I respect that but it’s an opinion. Wolfgang just isn’t my taste, no need to be disrespectful towards someone else’s views. Glad stray kids won, they put on a good performance. Every group went all out and showed that they deserved to be there. Don’t know if you finished watching what I said after Stray Kids, but i called it noise just because of the sound quality from my IPad. Once I heard the song on Spotify, it sounded much better.

Thank you for your reactions. especially with Seungmin. But it is not new to most stays. We know how beautiful Seungmin voice is actually all of stray kids have beautiful voices.. Most all of K-pop songs are heavy with EDM. Love to see you react to Live performance video of Never Ending story by stray kids. One of the most beautiful songs lyrics and show cases most all of their vocals. It has some rap but not much and is a must listen to song. I loved all of the performances because it was a variety of performances to tingle your senses. As much as I love Stray Kids and a stay, I think that SF9 final performance was the best performance. As far as my favorite ultimate performance of Kingdom would be Mayfly's all 3 of them were the best of the best.

Yeah maybe the members are loud and noisy when joking around but please do not call their hard work- a song that didn’t really deserves that comment- just noisy that’s harsh and honestly hurts my pride a little because I appreciate and have pride in Stray Kids and in their music and i absolutely love Wolfgang from the firs listen.. there’s nothing wrong with this song at all.

I’m sorry you feel this way, but it’s just my opinion. Not everyone is going to like every song. I know just how much work they put into their songs, and that I respect and appreciate a lot. They are extremely talented. Like my title states, it’s my honest opinion and I am not going to sugar coat how I feel about a song. My IPad didn’t help with the sound quality, but like I literally said right after, the song was good. Glad you enjoyed it the first listen, I didn’t as much obviously and that’s fine. So thank you for your comment, but I’m going to stand by what I said, which was that the song was good.

I’m not dissing.... my IPad quality just isn’t good. There was a lot going on and all I could hear was loud noise.... I listened on Spotify and it was fine. Just not my favorite song by them

But starting @25.42 when you started your comment on SKZ's performance, then you only heard loud nose. @26:36, you tried to cover what you said about all loud noise because "it's just this is a very edm song which is very Stray Kids for the most part......but I know like a lot of them are very edm....". You can show who is your favorite and diss whoever you want. But not stand up to what you said is unbelievable.

In no way was that a diss.... I literally said it was good. I don’t get why you’re coming at me.... Also I said being noisy wasn’t a bad thing. It was a great performance and I don’t need to “fan girl” so show who I like... I enjoy Stray Kids, this song just isn’t a favorite.
