Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel!
Unfortunately, due to copyright problems, I was not able to upload my ep. 7 reactions. At the beginning of this video though, my mom, sister, and I share our thoughts of ep. 7 as a recap. Following that, we watched both team Mayfly and team It’s On’s vocal units’ performances. Even though we know the results, we highly enjoyed both team’s performances and were honestly blown away. Personally, out of all 3 units, my favorite is vocal, so I was really looking forward to this episode.
Reminder: these are just our honest thoughts and opinions, do not take them to heart, as everyone has a right to think what they want. If you do not agree with what we say, that is perfectly fine, and I respect that, just please have the courtesy to respect ours as well.

eunkwang is literally the best , the way he let everyone shines in this performance , he gave seungmin more lines so they won't outshine him by their high notes and he could show how unique his voice is , they all did so well , they complement each other and their harmony was just so perfect , it's really sad that we won't get any mayfly content from now on , it's pure art !

As a vocalist Jongho never fails to amaze me. His high notes are literally in the original key IU sings in, the amount of control at such a young age is so impressive! A big kudos to Seungmin for showing off his vocal chops and vocal legend Eungkwan supporting his juniors and letting them shine!

I feel like Eunkwang deserves so much credit for this. I think he doesn't get nearly enough credit for this. I hope that while everyone continue to Stan their kpop boys, they still acknowledge Eunkwang's touch in teaching and raising up these boys (especially since he did the arrangement of the parts)

Eunkwang divided the songs so that his juniors have more lines. I believe he wants them to have more because they do not have a lot of opportunities to do emotional ballads since Skz and Ateez are more of an upbeat concepts. If you love ballads like Mayfly's, try to watch BTOB Blue's performances (live ones). You will truly be amazed💙

you're right that seungmin hasn't had too many opportunities to perform more ballad style songs before but if you really enjoyed his vocals you can also check out his SMA opening collab performance, the skz never ending story live stage, as well as the covers seungmin has done (under the name "skz record") which are either entirely his own voice or a duet with another member. his growth is truly beautiful, we're all so proud :]

Inseong actually did excellent during their rehearsals. He says he was overwhelmed on stage coz the fire wasnt there until their actual stage. He is also especially disappointed because that was a killing part which everyone was most expectant of... the others also felt bad coz they felt like maybe they burdened him too much as well. Nonetheless, they were still grateful for having been a team and collaborating with each other. and yes! Eunkwang totally orchestrated their performance well. He's just supporting and directing them whenever they harmonize. The trio's chemistry is so admirable because they just clicked during their first practice. also, yeah. Seungmin and Jongho are especially happy with this stage coz it's so different from their team colors. Seungmin is very proud of himself here coz he is "singing the song he loves".

hongjoong said in the episode that this was going to be "the rediscovery of seungmin" and he couldn't be more right. he's had a few chances to show off his vocals, but honestly nothing like this with 2 other main vocalists and a such an emotional song. his voice was such a stable anchor for eunkwang and jongho's high notes and it provided so much strength and fullness to the song as a whole. you could feel that eunkwang, jongho and seungmin truly love to sing, more than anything in the world and that emotion radiated throughout the performance. i'm so glad that seungmin got a chance like this to show off his talents and that people are giving him the attention he deserves!!!

MAYFLY used all of their members (in total of all of the units).. and i like the fact that everyone of them shined.. The rap stage of MayFly was my favorite (when rap and dance unit were released) but when this came out waaaaaah MayFly vocal unit is truly legendary, and i need more of it

If you want to listen to Seungmin sing more I suggest you his covers on Skz channel, all under the name of Skz-record plus his and Changbin's original song(Called "Piece" and it's still a Skz-record) which is not this style but still he sings a lot. For a group performance of this type(kind of) I suggest you Neverending Story(an OST), there's also a performance of it, it highlights their vocals especially Han's and Seungmin's.

i’m still sad about inseong beating himself up and blaming himself for the loss because of the high note :((( everyone makes mistakes, and besides that, everyone still appreciated the performance, had fun when preparing, and it was a good experience to have. it was still an amazing performance, even with the high note!! :)

Eunkwang said in the episode that his goal was for them to sound as one and that he wanted Jongho and Seungmin to really shine in this performance 😊 i love how he only almost sang the adlibs.. during the first meeting he even said that his voice was in between the two, but every melody knows he can go as high as he wants, very humble indeed. I am so proud of our leadernim for making his hoobaes shine their brightest. 😊

Actually, there's more members that didn't participate on It's one unit. While in Mayfly, only Changsub wasn't able to participate, I think he wasn't there also on the previous performance before this. He's now back on Ep. 9

Yo my Inseong boi was crying cus of his smoll mishap...and I was crying because I knew that he was engulfed in guilt because they did not win. Inseong baby, you did amazing and you are overflowing with talents, no small vocal mess up can EVER change that fact. 🤧🥰🥰🥰 It's One did amazingly even with Inseong's small mistake, it's kinda sad that noone really sees it's amazing points because of one simple, common mistake that eclipsed SO MANY sensational and wonderful points of this performance.

If Mayfly hadn't had such a legendary performance, the break in the highnote wouldn't have mattered to the judges as much. Mayfly was just hard to beat on that performance. I really felt for him though.

10:13 yeah it wasn't that bad. As a vocalist I also think like that. I know that he can hit that note and have seen him did a more difficult note. I want to elaborate more of how it became like that but its too long to just typing. But still this is vocal unit, so of course that's gonna cost him.

It hurt to see this. As a Stray Kids fan, we had the same happen in "I'll Be Your Man". The performers have feelings and I know they feel ashamed. As fans we need to be there for them.

The biggest difference between the rap units was the fact one was straight hip hop and one was more idol hip hop. Both great but totally different. The story of it’s one dance unit was based on a tyrant in Korean history who went crazy after his mother’s death and became known to be one of the worst tyrants in Korean history

I agree with you abt the dance unit performances. Oh, and if it's one unit dance was supposed to depict about a tyrant king from their history. Each member showed different emotions and stuff like that I really loved their performance as well. It was such a refreshing change from the show Edit: Chanhee and Junhoe's voices work so well, I didn't expect it

Understandable, just depends on the person. We know it was prerecorded, we just were distracted trying to listen to the song and ended up not paying much attention to the dance. Once I rewatched it, I fully focused on the dance and it was very good. Just the initial reaction was more towards listening to the music.
