As many, Kingdom of Heaven is one of my favorite middle ages movies. It depicts a conflictual society with difficult balances between men, religions and peace. Within the tempest of crusades, Sibylla has one of the most tragic and beautiful story. This video is a tribute to her.

Was it a co-incidence or general knowledge, Sybilla’s husband Guy of Lusignan, Frenchman, was protracted ugly in the film. However, from my knowledge on French history from French Revolution 1789, up to current Macron’s reign, I could hardly remember any French politician that I could have respected.

She say to Balian "Save the people from what I have done" But let's be blunt here ... Balian should have married Sibylle in the name of stability , love , peace and life etc... He got so scared of doing something evil or be corrupted by power or that it would mean that he sold his soul that because of his negative answer. Death of many happened and Jerusalem fell. Sibylle tried to convince him , to accept , I do understand why Jon Snow killed ( maybe there was another way ) Danerys when he realised she would spread death if she wielded power. But in this case Balian should have become king not Guy. Speaking of which , i do not think a Templar would be anything like Guy.... That's such a disgrace to what it meant to be Templar! Balian becoming king would have served a greater good but in the case of Balian and Sibylle , Death won because Balian refused to take the chance to damn himself in order to save many. So that could be said and viewed as Egoist and services to self before greater good. Not a benevolent choice but rather a selfish one.
