I to love Thailand (Siam), and I also love King Rama IX. Like Thai people say they were born during the reign of King Rama IX. I to was born during his reign. My wife is Thai, and I was even married in Bangkok, Thailand. My wife's uncle ( who is now deceased) has even said, that in my prior life I was born in Thailand. This statement I will always remember, until the day I die. This has always made me proud, I try living the life of a Thai, eat their food, and speak a little of the language. My roots are of Canada, but my heart is always Thailand. I hope that someone will see this, and say something good of this comment. Thank you whoever reads this. P.S. I even love this song, but do not understand it, very beautiful.

thailand won't rule, at least for the very near future. but tht won't stop ppl like me thinking ur late King Bhumibol should've been the King for all ppl of the world. Thais 'are' so lucky to hv him, the reason why i used 'are' cos i feel maybe he hv passed on but his legendary legacies lives on forever :)

Hello, I am interested in Thai culture and would want to visit the country one of these days. It's richness in culture and history is very attractive to me. Also, I wonder what happened in the 12:04 to 12:06 of this clip. I'd like to learn more. :) Thank you in advance!

Maybe a coup, or a protest against the military government... it is common back in that day 😂😅 many Thai teens died in the event like that in the past
@muayboran61113 жыл бұрын
Most likely a coup but could be ww2. During the japanese invasion of siam. Siam allowed safe passage for the japanese troops to Burma as they started their own war with the french. However, the americans didn’t like this and proceeded to bomb hospitals, schools, streets, buses and everything imaginable. My grandparents were there, my grandma was pregnant woth my aunt at the time but had no choice but to paddle to ratchaburi. My grandfather being a soldier had to flip bodies at a bombed hospital thinking my grandma and newly born daughter was there… siriraj hospital to be exact. The street that was bombed was rama 6 road and I couldn’t tell you exactly from the picture though but it coupd be that

@Sinderking4 жыл бұрын
The siamese ancestors changed Siam to Thailand during Rattanakosin period , not Sukhothai. It is changed because the siam states became one country under one flag (country modernized). Thailand/siam provinces are not named after Malay language but sanskrit because the previous kings endorsed buddhism and pali-sanskrit culture from sri lanka and india which is why thai languages and names have indian similarities. Siam are tai kradai group of people coming from southern china and establish an empire in Siam(Thailand) so there are not a part of malay Siam empire included some part of myanmar, cambodia, laos, upper malayu (thats what siam people called malaysia) before Siam lost these territories during colonial war. The entire empire territory is called suvarnabhumi. To learn more, check siam history by thai government/history or wikipedia. There are more official information there about Siam empire.

This is unsure for the past of history where Thai came from, because Thai DNA nowadays is mixed like a bowl of fruit salad. There’s southern Chinese, South Easy Asian, Indian, and many more. And especially almost all the Ayutthaya (old Thai kingdom) kings have Chinese blood in their body.
