I'm excited for this guys but you're showing way too much in trailers, tone it down. I assumed Mae could speak (the emphasis on her being smarter made me think she would be able to learn if nothing else, but I'm surprised she speaks to clearly and not more like the apes did when they first started.) but now she knows the true origins of the apes intelligence and humanity's downfall? That's a lot to drop before the movie's even out. People are interested, you don't have to show too much.

Except the maximum age to learn a first language is puberty (12-14 for females)... after that the changes in the brain that occur around that time prevent it from happening. She had to learn as a child which required others to have been speaking around her. Most likely she comes from a hidden group who hid from the initial outbreak and didn't face the mutation 10 years after exposure.

I love the Planes of the apes franchise which is why this might be an odd opinion: I honestly hope Noa isn't Ceasars descendant or in any way related to him. This makes Noa his own character with a unique story and personal development. Sequels should tie together with earlier films, but relying on old material too much makes it hard to create new characters. I kinda hope the villain (or maybe another ape that isn't one of the main characters) is a descendant of Caesar. That would still include Caesars story and legacy but it wouldn't steal the show. Guess we'll find out on may 10th what they had in mind, aye?

I said to my mates i bet she from ancestors of the scientist in there bunkers in north that Woody Harrelson character was on about in war for the plant of apes working on a cure, which these 3 new films will lead into Charlton Heatons time line, after they go to war with them, and i remember Doctor Zaius asks Charlton Heston character were his tribe is ( talking humans ) they know all about your kind. Since Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' Director Wes Ball has taken inspiration from Hayao Miyazaki’s style for directing the Legend of Zelda movie, my hope it has a well established relationship of Link x Princess Zelda’s relationship (where started out at best of friends in the beginning until their journey evolves them into be lovers) and a new iteration of them traveling hyrule together. Plus, make an original story similar to what the Super Mario Bros Movie has done build by complement and passionate writers, Princess Zelda becomes a great companion to Link, established the Zelda Lore and mythology, other abilities the Master Sword has, provided Ganondorf enough character background ( one where we can all understand the iconic gaming villain’s intentions, how we should hate him and feared of him as the Gerudo King slowly becomes the Demon King), etc.

Think of it this way, if they made this reveal with an ad, there must be way more jaw dropping moments. And her being self aware and that intelligent may have been one too many crazy reveals. It’s possible. I’m not gonna judge til I see the film. So the ads did their job, I wasn’t gonna watch it, but now I am.
