Kingdom Rush Vengeance - Swamp Thing FULL REVIEW

The Swamp Thing is a new tower in Kingdom Rush Vengeance. He has two main ways he can attack and he's a surprisingly interesting tower! What are your opinions?

I bought the swamp thing because it was one of the most annoying monsters in the original game and it was cool to play as a tower. I think you’re definitely right that the usage seems a bit odd, but you’re not playing it right You’re supposed to use its long range as a tower and then switch it to barracks mode when things get close. It’s the only tower in the game that really complements itself like that. I.e. if you have two of them in completely different portions of the map you can use one as a melee and one ranged and switch of things get by the first one. The stun and insta kill are both amazing and if he ever gets low health, you can just pop him back into tower mode and he will regenerate after every kill, enabling you to bring him right back out onto the battlefield. He’s a great addition to the game. I really like your vids, keep up the good work!

@@principleshipcoleoid8095 it's gonna be probably 15 dollars but it removes microtransations no buying gems no buying heros it also use to mean no endless mode but I hope if they do ad a endless mode itl be on PC to cuz with iron Marines PC they keept the Gem system. But ye free towers/heros PC also better controllers and it looks nicer

Y'all wrong. When he become a unit he's like mini artillery tower. Basically if he attack a ground unit when there's a flying unit nearby he's able to damage them.

I found the best way to use him and it’s for the Halloween levels! So basically you cut down the vines, you place him on the spot that had he vines then make him go to fight mode and upgrade the tower as much as you can, and because he is on the road he won’t get de-buffed unless they fix that... so umm yeah I use this a lot and I mean a lot... Good luck fellow explorers :D also use the mouslem to destroy the ghosts and damage resistant enemies... bye

UPDATES: •on the original/first kingdom rush, the swamp thing's hp is now only 2400hp but they didn't change the encyclopedia there so it still says 3k on the encyclopedia

After caving into the Halloween bundle, I have determined the swamp thing is much more worthy of its advertisement than Deep Devil's Reef The range is even more than the Wicked Sister's deployment zone, range and melee have that instant kill chance (you'll know when you see boulders wrapped in sharp vines) and the damage is so high and reliable that almost no magic resistant enemy will ever pass. And with all the health of the original swamp thing plus the ability to restore over a third of his max health per kill, he is downright scary. 60% stun chance in both modes is icing on the cake. Oh, and since it's ranged, not artillery, it can hit enemies that fly.

this card it my favourite coz it can just stall any tanks in the beginning and let the other troops go ahead and get wrecked by my towers and this thing is just immortal not even the bosses in this game are a problem if they don't have instakill and the favourite thing in this twer is that you can put it in an isolated tower space and wait for the magical range to hit coz it has such high damage I really recommend this card and I basically use this tower in any 1 or 2 lanes situation coz the golem paired with orcs just stall anything and you can just put any other magical tower and build another one of these as a ranged as well and you basically win

I’m really disappointed in the boss fight, I wish it was lord Blackburn from kr 1 it would be cool, but instead they made it these 2 ghosts with super low health

The reason why, is because of the wave management. The ghost on the left was magic resistant and the ghost on the right was armor resistant. During the waves, more ghost appeared on the left, forcing more magic towers while more infantry on the right for physical towers. When they came, they put the reciprocal ghosts on the opposing lane of your planned weak set towers to make it hard and force you to sell and build towers. I thought that was clever, but it was still easy. Have to play on impossible to be a bit difficult.

The % insta kill chance is REALLY low compared to 20% 40% and 60% of the sniper towers and Red Archer tower in Frontiers and Origins. There is a lack of instakill towers in the game, I can't think of a mage tower with an instakill in this game.

First of all Kingdom Rush Vengeance have the most insta kill towers Shadow archers, Dark knights, Blazing gem, Wicked sisters and Swamp thing. Musketeer Garrison shoots a bullet every 14 seconds that have chance of insta kill. Golden long bows have 3% 6% 9% chance to insta kill per shot there isn’t lack of insta kill in this game. I wish they would make a tower that your hearo can enter where each hero gives it different skills, but is just a standard archer level 3 tower with 2 guards when the hero is ont in it.

You will most likely die or lose first than this THING dying, i mostly used it in melee than in ranged and for me it is better in melee than in range, it will permanently hold the enemy it is blocking, stun all enemies around him 60% of the time he lands an attack, he can instakill enemies that may be able to kill it, regenerates 1050hp everytime it kills an enemy including ones that got killed because of his area attack, a whopping 3000hp with area attack at melee and largest ranged in thrower mode, being a much more powerful hero in terms of basic things like hp and damage, and you can spam it by building more swamp things, what more can you wish for? Well maybe enemies that got instakill with thing smash will turn into a husk? Anyway he attacks a lil faster in thrower mode btw but melee deals area attack

It seems that this tower needs a rework.. isn’t 9 an high rating? Because as a tower doesn’t seems to be so effective.. it’s controversial it has so much range, I think more damage and less range would be better. I think this time ironhide studios got out of point, even if this tower has an interesting feature, pretty new mechanic to be used in two different ways

The long range and solid damage eliminates magic resistant enemies reliably, and it can be changed to melee to easily hold enemies with the aoe stun. It is a great combination of a ranged tower and a mini boss for blocking, I find it to be super functional and creative.
