Kingdom Two Crowns Tips - The Greed

A general guide to the various types of the greed found in Kingdom Two Crowns, a few ways to deal with them, and also looking at the nightly greed attacks, portals and blood moons.
I haven't gone into much depth with how to prepare for blood moons as it is more of a general overview, but if you'd like to see a video specifically about dealing with blood moons and/or clearing portals then let me know.

Fun tip: When there is more than one pikemen, you will see that the second pikemen at the back has his pike pointing in an 45 degree angle upward, Similarly to a Phalanx’s second row, This soldier will kill the crown stealer that happens to jump over it.

A sort of scummy thing you can do to combat Crown stealers is to quickly join as the second player and buy a new crown for you. I've only ever done this once though and that was because I was really desperate, it kind of ruins to fun of rebuilding your kingdom as a new ruler when you die.

Crown Stealer came on my 64th day on island 2. I was not happy. My archers and pikemen did sweet fa to help me. I'm currently on the third island and it's going alright. I can't ever see myself surviving waves like the one at 3:47

Great video. I am currently playing on Kingdoms New Lands and I always had this itching question, since destroying a portal triggers a counterattack blood moon, what would happen if I were to destroy two portals at the same time? Would the blood moon wave be two times as strong? Or what if I was able to coordinate destroying a portal on the day of the blood moon? Will the wave get stronger or stay the same?

Thanks, I haven't really tested with that situation, my best guess would be that they'd spawn at the same time, potentially from different ends of the island if possible. When rushing the cliff portal on islands 4/5 and destroying all the small portals on one side of the island in quick succession, I've had a counter blood moon spawn on the opposite side of the island, and then another spawn on the side I was currently on. I doubt there was enough time for the blood moon to be cleared on the opposite side, so I assume the second counter wave spawned while the first was still active, but I can't be sure.

Hey, Poss! Great videos. I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer for anywhere online. What is the gravestone next to the warhorse for? I think it costs two gems, I can't remember. But once I paid for it, the sword in the Stone sent a bean skyward and that was it.

Haven't got the warhorse since they changed how it spawns, but I'm pretty sure the two gems paid at the gravestone are to unlock the warhorse so then you just have to pay coins to mount it.

You see, the war horse is already spawned, but the catch is that you can't actually pay 8 coins for it and ride it, so you'll need to pay the gravestone 2 gems to actually be able to ride it.

I have a question, does the retaliation wave gets stronger even if I destroy an inactive portal, that is after I have destroyed the cave portal then if I destroy other remaining portals of the dockside does the retaliation wave gets stronger for other islands ?

When I'm returning to old islands, how do I handle the increased greed attacks when my defenses are worn down and weak to begin with (ie. I only have wood on island 1 and only stone on islands 2 and 3). This issue is exacerbated when I have to wait through winter to return to previous islands to rebuild. Love your videos, they are very comprehensive and helpful!

The most you can do is to make sure your boat is filled with squires/knights, archers and builders, and that you have as many coins as possible. This will help your defenses a little and also mean you have everything you need to quickly upgrade the defenses. There's not much you can do beyond this, and you'll probably still face issues, so it's best to return to island 1 before 2 or 3, as it has the weakest defenses, and facing it earlier means the Greed attacks won't be quite as bad as they would be later in the game. If you do another playthrough, it's generally worth quickly returning to island 1 after you've got stone from island 2, and before heading to island 3. This gives you a chance to upgrade your walls there to stone, and also gives you the chance to get archery stature and griffin before moving on to island 3.

@@possplays Actually in my opinion you should probably deal with stronger islands like the 4th and 5th first, as if you return to the weaker ones, it takes time, and then when you return to the stronger ones, it is overwhelmingly too much to handle - the sooner you’ll done with them, the less trouble they will give. Worked fine for me.

Valid points, but we're not really talking about destroying portals here, just how to handle the harder greed when you finally do return to earlier islands. Definitely agree that it's better to take out the portals on island 4 and 5 first

How about co-op play and i have unlocked 3 island and as soon i expanded the kingdom the winter falls and it i destroyed all portals that get way to the cave and it doesn't end there i get normal attacks very strong like breeders join and i faced 2 blood mons First blood moon i have been saved due to griffin but at second blood moon i lost kicked back to second island All this is on normal play i did all of them without knowing iam triggering blood moon and i spend gems to unlock syetche statue and other stuff also i didn't activated archery statue how can i survive and win this game

Do you know what islands specifically, because the Great Stag mount spawns at a big waterfall or something like that on the second Island

Thanks. The blood moons are pretty random, the earliest warning you get is when the noise plays when the wave leaves the portal, if you've got headphones on/surround sound then the side the noise comes from let's you know what side the attack is coming from

Bruh when I had squires attacking the dock portal, two restrained as they should, but the third one was a thrillseeker... He stayed in the range of the “ tentacle beast” and when I ran out of coins, he was done...

It may well be, don't remember it happening with knights, but it also doesn't happen every time with squires. Haven't done enough testing of it to be certain, but it's a good reason to upgrade to knights when you get the chance

The location of things like camps, mounts etc on each island are randomly generated, so a camp spawning far away is annoyingly just bad luck

You can get the dog back once you destroy the cliff portal of the island he was stolen from. Same goes for hermits and gems.

I'd say the boar isn't an enemy unless you make it one, like you say, it won't act until provoked, and it has no bearing on beating the game

The greed reach insane running speeds got any tips? Faster than my mount and they reach the wall extremely quickly at speeds that my guys cant retreat in time.

I've come across this before and I think it's triggered by breeders being hit by something well before they reach the wall. As Breeders move quickly until they're quite close to your walls, then slow down. If they get hit while they're moving faster, that triggers spawning greedlings and I think the speed buff must get passed onto them, but they don't lose it when they get close to your walls. That's my wild explanation that might be entirely wrong, but if it is correct, it'd be caused by archery towers far away from your walls, or you attacking them with something like the lizards fire breath. Hope that helps

for every portal you destroy, the blood moons that counter it get stronger, but the regular night waves are unaffected and will slowly increase in difficulty regardless of how many portals are destroyed

for each small portal you destroy, you trigger a blood moon that is stronger than normal blood moon, they are stronger by their huge numbers . In addition to that, there is a chance that if you trigger a blood moon during sun set, you'll risk facing the blood moon wave + the night wave (on both sides) , so as Poss Plays said : you should destroy the portal as soon as the night wave ends. and try building as many towers further than your main wall so they can weaken the greed that are coming so they won't destroy your main wall easily
