People used to buy charsi junk and flood the ground with it so once you died from the duel and you went to get your body back you might accidentally pick a pair of gloves or boots so they can kill you and “pop” your dead body and steal your gear… I remember it was horrible

Honestly, one of my favorite parts of reaching lvl 90+ in d2 was running newbies through to end game for free. You get to pay it forward, find some loot along the way, see how grateful they are. It was lovely

the absolute accuracy of these animations always astound me. the perfect use of in-game voice lines and effects, meta references and the perfect recreation of experiences only a d2 player would know even at the most basic level like picking a high level merc vs running to asheara via the long ass bridge *only* to resurrect the act2 merc every seasoned player knows you always have for endgame. things being scammed by item swapping on the trade screen, to going apeshit on dclone by using a smiter. the immunization records joke at uber trist was killer. so was the summoner instantly dropping because he's made of paper. love it.

You really are the best on KZbin! 😂🎉😢 It really broke my heart that none of the other mercs were ever really viable though. The act 3 cold mercs were my favorite but only applicable with dream stacks. Such a great game to this day. What a tragedy Diablo 4 has been.

Thats a nice pipe dream. The people who made diablo 2, are not blizzard anymore. D4 is nothing to D2. I dont think it ever will be. Unless maybe they add runes to it.. Idk.. that MIGHT make me consider picking it back up. There was something special about the awkward and unique builds you can do in 2. Bear Sorc, even The Simpler Smiter, had character. The old days of the net and online gaming, the wild west of it if you will the free economy it had and still has the fuels a full black market RMT economy in the real world. Todays "restrictions" and such would prevent a company from recreating it completely. Blizz got away with it on D2R because it was already there.. but to do it fresh.. im not sure you could without taking heavy criticism in the media and such. It would be awesome though.

Strangely I never had any people in Diablo 2 bail on me rushing them for forge. For the most part D2 community has honor, even botters always keep their word in my experience. Occasionally there is one personal that will try to sell you a wrong item, but it's rare.
