Never a finer rendition of this tune,wish the clip got the whole thing.Elvis was amazing no doubt,but his band in the 70s ,Stamps Quartet and the Sweet Inspirations made the music phenomenal

@@johnodwyer8171 That's not a bad assessment but from what I see- no one was trying to sing along with him..🤷♂️

Well, I dated your big sister And took her to a show I went for some candy Along came Jim Dandy And they snuck right out of the door Every time I see your sister Well she's got somebody new She's mean and she's evil Like that old Boll Weevil Guess I'll try my luck with you Well, I used to pull your pigtails And pinch your turned-up nose But you been a growin' And baby, it's been showin' From your head down to your toes Little sister, don't you Little sister, don't you Little sister, don't you kiss me once or twice Then say it's very nice And then you run Little sister, don't you Do what your big sister done

He’s really cranked up on something here. Speed, coke, who knows. Still good. James Burton on guitar is the anchor to all of his good songs !

He’s just tired I think.. his speech in the show is fluent and this is in 1970.. 2 shows a night with full energy isnt easy..

He was most likely under the influence of something. It's well documented at this point in his career how many drugs Elvis took daily.

I love Elvis and I love this song. But you can tell the downfall of the King here. He dang near fell off the chair. Someone had to hand him his favorite instrument to play. He was not well. Still love him to death ❤️

Compare this to the 1968 comeback tour just 3 or four years prior and you can see how much he changed. Not putting him down, just pointing it out.

Sad to say its obvious he's on uppers here, the whole concert is mainly manic. So so so very sad.....
@janc51212 жыл бұрын
Elvis rocked whatever! He had his health issues, but the whole concert was still great. He was on uppers and downers throughout the 60s & 70s, however, he kept things in control most of the time in the early Vegas years, problems started later on when he became bored of the same schedule!
@jerrypie7776 ай бұрын
His performances would have been even better if he hadn't been taking prescription drugs, which appears obvious in this video. His sweating, his gait, his mood, they're all symptoms of his drug intake.
