I saw Elvis in concert when I was 15 at the Hilton in Las Vegas. My mom flew us over for his concert. I sat right next to the right side of the stage, when he walked out I waved at him and he made eye contact with me and waved back.He was just great and I appreciate him so much more now that I am older. What a beautiful man with so much talent. In sad times I have always listened to his music and also in good times. He still makes my days so much better knowing that his music graces our world.

Black people are the greatest singers. All Elvis's singing idols were black, he learnt his trade in black gospel churches, his only friend was black when he was kid, all his maids and cooks were black, a reporter once referred to him as the king of rock'n'roll, he said quote " it's not me, it's that man sitting over there, FATS DOMINO", white people ruined him.

I’m 60 years old and I’m from Switzerland (Lucerne), I’ve been listening to Elvis since I was 10 years old, I watched Elvis' live concert in Hawaii in 1973. I appreciate many kinds of good music, I also know all the songs of Johnny Cash and June Carter (Great) and other great artists. However, Elvis remains the greatest musician and entertainer of all time, but in all his songs, all the power of his soul comes out. One could also say that he gave his whole heart to his listeners. This way is definitely unique and I think it will remain so. Denis Herger

My 1st fiancé singing to me, sang along with Elvis many of these songs. He died, later my 2nd love & husband sang the one’s that meant more to me to me & him. We often slow danced to these at home & at wedding receptions. He would whisper in my ear the songs we both loved. Elvis singing a variety of songs that meant so much to both my husband & me throughout our lives; as teens & throughout our adult lives. Elvis is THE KING & always will be!!!

I can remember the first time I heard Elvis, I was in South Texas (Kingsville) for the summer visiting my grandparents. We were in the cotton fields and someone that was picking cotton had a transistor radio and “ Return to sender” came on, all of a sudden everyone was picking in unison and dancing and I thought, what’s going on? It was like a musical, that was the effect that Elvis had on everyone and I was hooked at seven years old. There will never be another Elvis!

i think about that so much -- that it is unfortunate he is not here to see the adulation & all the young people who are now discovering -- & loving -- him so much; he was very under-rated in his time so it is doubly sad that NOW FINALLY he gets the recognition he always should have had

I can't imagine anyone NOT knowing Elvis but I'm sure there's some out there. There's the music to remember about him. There was no auto tune, it was his phenomenal singing voice. Our Daddy’s met in Germany whilst in the Army. The first thing Elvis asked my Daddy was, “Do you wanna be here?” They BOTH laughed and said “NO” at the same time! Gladys Love Smith-Presley died when Elvis was in Germany. When Elvis returned, Daddy was gone, as my paternal grandfather had died. They grew closer after that. Elvis rented a house in Germany, and my Daddy was there a lot. I attended my first concert at the age of 4. He was gorgeous and had an amazing voice. He wasn’t a racist and I loved that fact. Lisa and I both lost a son recently, and it sucks. We each have 4 children, and I have 1 son and 2 girls remaining, and she has 3 girls remaining. We each have a set of twin girls, but I had my children younger.
@loreleilee4533 жыл бұрын
Elvis spoke of his identical twin brother who was stillborn, Jesse Garon Presley often. After Gladys passed and the guys returned from Germany, Vernon Elvis Presley remarried, but asked Elvis if it was okay. He wanted his father to be happy. Albeit they had no children together, Elvis had step-siblings. This is about all I’m willing to share. I wanted to say THANK YOU FOR RECOGNIZING A WONDERFUL AND GENEROUS MAN WITH AMAZING TALENT!
