Well, that’s the silliest, most juvenile comment I’ve heard in a long time. His microphone can make those sounds? Right. And pigs can fly, and there’s a Great Pumpkin and a bridge I know that he can buy. Ridiculous. Maybe he thinks mics can make coffee and vacuum too! People who are jealous can say some intensely stupid things sometimes. I love his treatment of the song! There are thousands of people who sing this song in a traditional manner. I am one of those people…but that’s because I can’t do what he does. If I could, I would. If he just did runs ‘cause he could that’s one thing. But remember, this song is about the Heavenly host appearing to the shepherds and terrifying them, and telling them that the moment the whole needy universe has been waiting for after 400 years of silence from God, has finally HAPPENED! That’s the Gospel! Pure and simple. That’s the life-changing, universe-changing message of all time being told through this magnificent piece. God has finally come! He’s come to save the world! I think Gabriel’s runs add to the majesty of this awesome moment with subtlety in the beginning before he let’s the fireworks of the God of the Universe start bursting in the sky! I love his gospel approach to a song that deserves to soar and explode with joy. I say Bravo, Gabriel, and all Glory and Praise to the Father and to Jesus, the Savior of the whole world!
