Dude, this lesson has changed my life! I've always just wanted to know "the moves", rather than a song, and a guy like Kingfish has all the moves. But he also goes too fast for me, and because of that, tabs don't make much sense when I play them, and you always gotta worry about if they're right or not. This just felt like a private guitar lesson in which I learned an extraordinary amount in an extraordinarily small time. Thanks for making me a better player and not charging me in the process, though after that lesson and seeing your way, I would pay 😎👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Hello john watched your other video also ,that fender session with kingfish, as always you are simply awesome, I particularly liked that you keep it really simple to understand. I have a question for you- I am not that pedal freak but i like my guitar tone to be pristine clean and warm with a modest amount of overdrive can you suggest any pedal to achieve that

Hi so sorry for the delay, Thanks so much! you know a lot of the time I just use the amp. I think for that a tube screamer would be great they are nice and warm sounding.

the first part of this lick is the hardest for me. im getting somewhere with the last super fast descending lick but cant get the speed right for this part 12:55 do he changed to triplet picking or something?
@Jay-lr3me4 жыл бұрын
Daniel Kelly I’m not sure what you mean by triplet picking, I would just keep it alternate and the speed will come in time!
@KudosCultureCartel4 жыл бұрын
@@Jay-lr3me I think i mean a 3 note pattern. Iv since learned about downward pick slanting and inside/outside picking. Its way easier to always land on a downstroke when changing stings but he plays 3 notes here on 2 strings so its hard to wrap my head around changing strings on an upstroke or even changing it to start on an upstroke
@Jay-lr3me4 жыл бұрын
Daniel Kelly downward pick slanting can work but apart from that I’ve never done the other stuff you’re talking about. Just do what’s best for you, see what works for you, plenty of players who play fast do all different types of picking. If you wanna play super speed though then you may need to adopt a certain kind of picking, but for this, whatever works for you I’d say :)
@KudosCultureCartel4 жыл бұрын
@@Jay-lr3me Thanks for that dude it really helps
