@@fredrazoriii302 Sulfonates dry out our hair too much and makes your hair hella itchy from the dryness. Too harsh of a cleanser. If you use pomades or petroleum products then you probably may want a sulfonate shampoo to strip the hard sticky pomades and petroleum products out of your hair. But if you use water soluble gels or light moisturizers only then I would not use shampoos with sulfonates in them. Hope that helps, stay up Homie.

In case anyone is curious, you get more lather when there's more water on your head. The reason the second wash tends to lather more is that the first wave has cleaned the hair and scalp and removed product and some natural oil that was covering the hair, allowing the hair to get wetter for the second shampoo.

Jassmine King start brushing right off the bat and be consistent with angles. you’ll need a hard, medium, and soft brush. after a fresh cut use medium and soft. don’t cut lower than a 1.5 ( barber will know what you mean ). you’ll only need the hard brush when he’s wolfing. you can start him off with some polmade to keep his hair down and later transition him to natural products and oils. after brushing and product, put a durag on him right after. and don’t let him fall asleep without it. brush every day. the longer you brush, the better. start looking to methods like “wash and style” and “wolfing”. 360waveprocess is a good channel for coarse wavers

Hand soap dries faster and holds good. In jail we used 3 flowers, soap and a torn sheet. Also a little hand soap (choose one that don't turn white or burn, ivory does good) during styling adds better laydown.
