Fun fact: Martina is not using an uchiwa, she's using a sensu! Both are words for small fans that you hold, but a sensu is specifically for ones you fold. An uchiwa is the traditional rounded kind that stays flat the whole time.
@KingKogi2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment on this! I totally didn’t know this difference! The first time I was holding a flat fan, uchiwa, I was at a festival and a Japanese friend told me, “that’s called an uchiwa” so I just assumed all hand fans are the same. I love learning from this lovely diverse and smart audience 💕 🙇🏼♀️

Finally made it to Japan for my study abroad semester, and we had about a week to explore before classes start (tomorrow). At first we were trying to go to shrines, and castles and temples and it was SO HUMID (I knew it could get humid, but wasnt expecting swear rivers😅) But today we went to the Kyoto Aquarium and the air conditioning made all the difference!

Maybe like a 'konbini options for vegans' ? Hi Martina ! I just wanted to say that if one day you feel comfortable or healed enough to talk about surviving narcissism I would love to see your insight. I had an incredibly similar experience to you - same timing - and I feel like I'm along for the ride with you. It's been one of the most painful and unpredictable experiences I've ever dealt with. Seeing you climbing the ladder, living your life, and speaking openly has been so motivating for me. Sometimes I cry just watching your video because I'm so happy you're pursuing passions and being creative and letting yourself blossom. love you lots
@KingKogi2 жыл бұрын
Hi Anna, I’m so sorry you had to experience that too 😞 it’s such a confusing experience and extremely surreal when you realize what’s been going on. Even escaping it brings self doubt about your reality, it’s so hard to talk about because people who don’t understand the situation, they cannot grasp the mental and emotional fuckery that has gone on. I wish I could talk about it more freely but I’m honestly too scared. The repercussions of having more people message me and tell me that I’m a liar is too much to deal with, and they just don’t know the whole situation. I’m still healing and I’m sure you are too. I’ve made a build a ladder playlist that you should check out and there is a KZbin channel “Surviving Narcissism” that tremendously helped me. I’ll get through it and so will you! Let’s keep building our ladders, even if we fall off and get scared. We’ll do it again 💪🏻

@@KingKogi I can't even imagine. I'm very lucky that I don't have to deal with people who don't know my situation giving their opinion.
