omg? every tour / tourist type video should have accessibility remarks? now that ive seen you do that so smoothly it's so obvious that this is something that is missing on most channels? thank you martina
@KingKogi2 жыл бұрын
I think until people experience struggling with stairs, curbs, and bumpy roads…they’ll never think to include it. But as an off-and-on cane user, who uses escalators and elevators to save on energy, I’ll always try my best to include these important tips 💕
@dr.moneypenny97482 жыл бұрын
Totally! I started to add this info into any TripAdvisor/Google reviews once I started to work with infants with motor disabilities. Even thought these babies don’t use a wheelchair or a cane, families often need to use strollers for their and their child’s comfort or medical devices. I hope we continue to provide a more accessible world for everyone.
@chikuwa2912 жыл бұрын
I’m a white cane user and really appreciate it when other people think about things like that. I use pedestrian lights that make a sound to find them and a different sound when they turn green. Some people complain about the noise because they don’t know what that beeping and clicking is actually about. In my case, it prevents me from involuntarily getting an Uber lift the hard way 😂 But other people only understand the importance of aids like that, when they need to use it themselves or when they know someone who does.

I also loved this note. When I visited Japan I was sad that my mother would likely never be able to visit because she has mobility problems. The truly historical places she would be interested in aren’t really accessible to wheelchairs.

Knowing which exit to take and where one can have a quick sit-down are honestly the things I've struggled most with researching in advance. I actually really enjoy that the places you bring us aren't well-treaded touristy areas. I visited Japan with my sister almost a decade ago and we went to all of the touristy places...but we also went to one ramen place under an overpass in the middle of who-knows-where. We actually went there twice during our week vacation in Japan. My favorite memory of our trip? Going to that hole-in-the-wall, mom-and-pop ramen place under the overpass! These neighborhood gems really made the vacation for me.

This channel is so good. I live in Kichijoji, and watch a fair number of Japantubers, but most of them are either big-time tubers doing big-time crazy adventures like Abroad in Japan, Sharmeleon, Tokyo Lens, etc., or they're people who are like, HEY, HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF THIS PLACE CALLED AKIHABARA? IT'S CRAZY! THERE ARE MAIDS ON THE STREET! HAHAHA! It's rare to find a Japantuber who just... shows you cool, out-of-the-way places in a really casual, fun, yet obviously highly informed manner. It's really refreshing, and I swear every video of yours that I watch gives me one more place to add to the list of places I need to check out on any given weekend. ;) Thanks for doing what you do!

I have a massive sleeve and I’ve never had a problem entering any place.
