I met Roger Moore when he came to speak to our students in our James Bond class. He had just returned from holiday in Monaco were he loved to gamble at the casino. He loved vacationing there. I took a chance and prepared him a cup of tea, English style, & he was so pleased I knew how to do it correctly. I was so lucky my boss had to fly out of the the country unexpectedly so I had to be his host, great him & escort him & his manager to the class. The students loved him. Being a fan since childhood of the Bond films it was such a dream to hear him recount his stories of being Bond. He was so charming. At the end, I walked them to their car & thanked him for coming & presenting to our most appreciative students. As I started with... thank you Mr. Moore, he shook my hand, pulled me a little closer & said no, no... call me Roger, please. I was professional & gracious up to this point but I turned beet red & giggle like a school girl as I said thank you Roger. He stared into my eyes & gave me a big smile - he was the epitome of James Bond! I will always see him in Monaco in my minds eye! This was a real treat watching this video! Thank you for the memories! 💜✨✨

I’m disappointed that there was no mention of the curse. Or the fact that Charlene was crying more on her wedding day because Albert fathered another illegitimate child (during their relationship) moreso than because she was a radiant bride who was so happy on her wedding day. This relationship has eaten her alive. Look how unhappy she looks now.

Monaco is a unique case in the monarchist world. In fact, thanks to wise rulers, on only 2.2 km2 of rocks and stones (the territory was bought with gold) this a nice country with all state institutions were created, a country that finances itself and does not use the money of her citizens, independent from large countries primarily France (by decree of 2001...Monaco pays France to defend it because he doesn't have enough space to house its army), a country that has its own language and currency, a country where people feel safe and secure...The people of Monaco love and respect Prince Albert immensely because he loves and respects them - he is kind and close to the citizens and takes care of all their needs.

Grace Kelly had to pay $2M as there was a great fear that Monaco could go broke. She certainly helped to finance the rebirth of Monaco. Yet, when she died in 1982, she had only $15,000. Sad, she had a sad life, betrayal in love and so much infidelity. Seems Albert took after his father. Grace Kelly was so beautiful, she has got to be the most beautiful lady who ever lived.

That’s the price she had paid for her extravagant lifestyle. All those luxuries that she owned cost an arm and a leg to acquire, maintain, and insure. I wasn’t surprised to learn that she only had $15K when she died in 1982. Plenty of ex-sports and ex-Hollywood celebrities end up being broke because they can’t afford to sustain their extravagant lifestyle when they left their professions.

You're right about Prince Rainier cheating on Princess Grace.. Their two daughters used to be in the National Enquirer just about every week. Princess Stephanie actually ran off and joined the circus. Princess Caroline's first husband, Junot, was a playboy. She had to get the Pope to annul that marriage so she could marry another man. The Grimaldis have come a long way.

You never stopped to draw breath and just hurtled through the video at high verbal speed with each section just following on from each other without spacing. Because Monaco is less than 2 KM2 , smaller than Central Park in New York, so certainly it can not be a kingdom, but a principality. And prinipalities have princes and princesses.
@garlickebagg10 ай бұрын
@ROSE MARIE They are under the French umbrella. If anything happens to this tiny principality, all that properties goes to French treasuries. For centuries, France, Spain, Italy, and Habsburgs all wanted that geopolitical cliff for their advantages. But France offered the best package, so Grimaldi grabbed it. All papers signed. Their men serve in French military, etc. So technically, it's owned by France If memory serves me correctly. Any other info is welcomed. As for Grace, she slept around and helped to break up her share of marriages, like Joan and Bette, but PR kept it all discreet. Prince Ranier liked lovely ladies, so she did her part. Remember folks, everything in life has trade-offs, so it's good to try to see the bigger picture before we can say yay or nay.
@vericaminic98582 ай бұрын
@@garlickebaggYou're wrong. Monaco is independent country (since 2001). The people of Monaco are not in the Franch army - Monaco pays France to defend it because he doesn't have enough space to house its army.
