Noticed you had a few issues with charge ability. A charge action requires you to move in a straight line. A few times you were trying to use charge to attack people around corners. A charge is also a full round action. You tried to 5 foot step around a corner to get straight line but you cannot take a 5 ft and a full round action. You also need to have at least 10 ft between you and your target to use a charge action (to get that running start). You tried to use charge against a foe already right beside you. Otherwise it was quite fun watching. I think you'll really enjoy the lore in this game. Hope to see more episodes.

Yea, I got the hint on charge pretty quickly after this episode. I have noticed a few issues with 5 foot step im still having, but i think I have it figured out also lol. Episode 2 is mostly done, I had some major audio issues for the first 45 minutes of my live stream, so I'm actually replaying the first 45 to have game Audio included but it'll go up tonight!

I think playing for the story is just fine. While I love the combat system, the story of Kingmaker is what made me love it (with special mention to a certain half-orc magus). That being said, I think I have opposite intincts because my first idea for a Fighter is 20 streght, 7 charisma, 7 Wisdom and so forth. Yes, my saves are trash, but my damage is soooo satifying.

It's really fun watching someone who doesnt know the plot, but DOES know the lore. Like immediatly surmassing that Jaethal worships Urgathoa

Also Sir Vertigo seems like he would be a perfect fit for the Student of War prestige class with his backstory and lore focus

Beneath the Stolen Lands can be played in the main game (well, it's a fixed dungeon in the main game, I think it's randomized dungeon if you start a new game in that mode). There's some extra content if you finish Varnhold's Lot after finishing Season of Bloom (I think that's the chapter 3 quest). Nothing too important, and that DLC is quite a challenge. If you want some advise building a character, the Weapon/Armour Focus and Specialization feats are good on a melee fighter. Power Attack is another really good feat, and later the focus that improve your criticals and the Cleave feats. Sadly you don't get to pick a deity in Kingmaker unless you are a cleric or paladin.

Alright, I'll look into the varnhold quest when it comes time. From what I saw online it seems to be hard at the start and improves as you level up, so hopefully I just underestimated how often I would miss lol

It is always nice, to see someone play this masterpiece. I wish you much fun and hopefully you will enjoy it. PS: In comparison, WotR has a deeper and more complex gameplay (mostly more options), but Kingmaker has the better story, characters and, in my opinion, the better atmosphere.

Um... am I missing something? Sir Vertigo, you chose TWO-HANDED fighter subclass but also took a focus feat for a longsword... which is ONE-HAND. P.S. Also you're totally right on playing turn-based mode. I've finished this game in real time and believe me - that is a mess. There're dozens of times when the battlefield is literally unseen under tons and tons of floating text messages (like saving throws etc.). And those messages do not disappear even on pausing the game :(

Yea, after I took the long sword feat I realized what I did lol I added retrain mode on in the difficulty settings to fix that down the road lol

I'm going to go back to it, I just decided since kingmaker 2e was coming out soon, I'd play the first game and then I'm gone to do wotr, and then I might play balders gate 3 after? I'll figure out what's next when I get to it lol
