Awesome documentary, better than the one you did years ago. Great job.

Except for crappy track between LaHansa and Kansas. They are speeding like crazy there, and yet the track quality over there is so poor, due to overload form coal and grain freight trains. It gets so shaky and bumpy, that one passenger fell and broke a rib! BSNF SUCKS SO BAD with their maintenance.

@@digimaksUnion Pacific might be even worse, based on all the dirty and grafitti-covered locomotives they've been running in the Los Angeles area. The nation's largest railroad is managed like the old Southern Pacific Railroad that it merged with in 1996. My understanding is that the combined system was given the Union Pacific name, but they pretty much left the old SP management in charge. The Southern Pacific was a failing railroad at the time of the merger.

Must’ve been quite an experience. It’s good that everyone involved made it out. I remember seeing 50 on the Sunset Limited back in April

@CameraManRailFan I do believe you. I mean, get this. If I were you, I'd hate it so much that I would've just outright deleted it so I'd wouldn't have to deal with that junk. Trust me, I also have older videos on my channel that I hate too

In all my time of studying train wrecks and what not, I never knew of this wreck. Lovely documentary.

Very good documentary. Certainly thought provoking as I took that very journey (Los Angeles to Chicago) on the South West Chief at the end of last February.

The quality of the documentary has definitely improved over the original, And I honestly like it better. Also after watching the 1978 Superman movie (there was a scene where Superman saved an Amtrak train), I can't help but imagine that one of the engineers may have said,"Superman isn't going to save us! We need to hold on!" Before they hit the bridge.

Hey Cameraman Railfan I’m making my own Trainz Siries called Rail tales of the Dixie South on Trainz Driver 2 Mobile on my IPad and it takes place on the fictional Cohullia Y Texas Railroad. I eventually hope to get a PC and Computer so that way im can upgrade to either Trainz a New Era or Trainz 2022. And I was wondering if you wanted to become part of the project production I am always looking for voice actors and a consent script written and I also got a narrator. you can also put this in your next Q&A Video

Amtrak has a famously bad safety record. Perhaps the Amtrak train was going way too fast on tracks that are built for lower-speed freight trains. This has happened repeatedly with Amtrak.

USA - 2024, still have wood creek bridges at many places. WOOD BRIDGES, KARL! And that's when there are we are having very heavy trains goiong over them. Cmon, this is not 1930's! Improve infrastructure already. In many Asian and European railroads the mainline railroads do not have any more wood bridges. Many countries even phased out wood rail ties. But in USA we stay with 1920's traditions. facepalm....
