This interview is from april 2005, I did this interview and it's a special memory for me :) Actually I lost the file myself for many years. I remember being quite nervous (since I was a big fan, listened a lot to Madlib's music around that time, and was just 21 years old), but also hoping to have a bit of a different conversation than the regular 'producer talk'. The interview was scheduled in a coffeeshop, but since it was beautiful weather I asked if we could go out for a walk to the park instead. We ended up just sitting in the grass somewhere. I think not every artist should be asked to speak or explain themselves too much...Madlib already speaks through his music, and there's a lot to discover in that. Words don't go there.

Radna You Made a beautiful interview. I’m proud of you. You made him comfortable and made justice to his deep mind and knowledge. Finally a real interview. Thank you for this.

Radna Rumping you did great. Seems some real chemistry going on. Funny you lost the file for a while, see that’s what my man Otis says evil things get through! Glad the light find the file’s way back to you. Bless!

There's also an interview with Dilla in Eindhoven, also in the Netherlands. Probably the longest interview of Dilla.

thanks for this. doom, dilla and madlib as a trio would have been insane. really cool to hear madlib talking about spirituality and where he was musically around then.
