Rondo helped the Chicago Bulls reach the NBA Playoffs, upset win in the Game 1 of the 1st Round over the Boston Celtics. Potential Game 2 upset win too, but Rondo got injured. The very next season Rondo helped the New Orleans Pelicans reach the NBA Playoffs.

Funny, now Carlisle lets Luka call all his own plays, in only his second year, and it's resulted in the most efficient offense in the history of the NBA. Carlisle is very flexible as a coach, Rondo just thought too highly of his own abilities.

Carlisle used to call plays even after Rondo with Deron and Dennis. Once he realized Luka is crazy good, he gave him all the keys to do what he wants, which goes to show how great Luka is as a player

BreakGamer Channel Nah Luka is 10x better than Rondo ever was. Rondo act all big headed like in the ‘08 Finals Eddie House wasn’t closing games in the 4th while he sat on the bench and watched. He rode the big 3’s coat tails to that ring. He acted like Rick wasn’t a championship coach himself. Rondo was the Draymond Green of the late 2000s early 2010s.

SirCalz I definitely watched and like I said in ‘08 EDDIE HOUSE CLOSED GAMES at PG in the Finals. Nobody remembers that though. Rondo was in his 2nd year in the league and a playoff rookie when he won that ring he wasn’t a catalyst for shit. His playoff numbers are the same as Mario Chalmers when he won his 1st ring.

Carlisle offense is a proven winner. His teams teams are always killing it on the offensive side of the court. If he ever gets a defensive, mobile big with a couple of defensive wings...his team would be unstoppable. He has Porzingis now, but he needs a couple more defensive minded wings. His offense is already the best in NBA history, surpassing the GSW championship offense.

I still remember this like yesterday. I remember when there were rumors that they would trade for Rondo, I got on Mavs social media pages and pleaded for them not to trade for him. I really liked Brandon Wright and Crawder off the bench. Man was I right. That was our best team after the championship and they blew it with bad moves in the front office. Plus Parsons got hurt again. 🤦🏾‍♂️

i was so psyched to get Rondo! I loved him when he was on the celtics- i bought his jersey online as soon as he joined D-town. - but i could tell he was fighting ellis to be the new playmaker...and i could tell he kept dismissing Carlisle's play calling. I was like "ohh noo...his attitude is getting ridiculous..." and then it kept going on. then he shut down in Game 2 of Finals and I knew he was gonna quit... Sad how a terrible attitude (or just no heart) ruined his chance of having something awesome with dallas and continue to play beside Dirk. A waste of talent.

Rick Carlisle tried to turn Jim into kk Barrea. SMH clown. Same kind of idiots that would trade for a ball dominant guard coming off an acl injury and expecting your team to win the same year. You guys traded for someone that you tried to turn into somebody else. Then you get mad at him for not wanting to be there since they never truly wanted Rajon Rondo. You guys lost like 2 role players in that trade wright and crowder....after that season the Mavs made the playoffs for nothing until they couldn't any more. Fake ass team. I gotten over it and respect Carlisle as a coach but I am not sure if he was paid to shut up and get with the program and that program was meant to mess up Rondo's contract year for good because the NBA didn't like his attitude. It's deeper than dumb people reading over what other numbskull puppets wrote in the past. You guys show how deeply uninformed you really are especially considering you are Mavs fan buy then again that's probably why you felt comfortable blaming 1 person for why Dallas didn't win that year.... wasn't that the same year GSW broke out?

I understood why it happened. Rondo was overqualified for his position. If Rick Carlisle wants to call plays every single time on offense then you dont need an elite passing point guard to run the offense. No point in him having all of that knowledge and not being allowed to use it. If Doc Rivers and 3 NBA HOFers trusted him to run the offense why isnt he trusted in Dallas?

Rondo is back for his 2nd season as a Laker because of former New Orleans Pelican teammate Anthony Davis for the minutes played WITHOUT LEBRON, a 3rd player is needed for Rondo and Anthony Davis to perform as a special unit = a guard that is INSTANT OFFENSE and has previous NBA Playoff experience.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel refuses to demote Rondo as the #2 point guard behind Lebron James. 😀😀😀 This despite negative opinions from the L.A. media and fans that didn't want Rondo to return. Probably because the #2 point guard is not meant to share the court with Lebron James, a #2 point guard is chosen to replace Lebron. Alex Caruso doesn't fit the #2 point guard = 1.8 assists & 1.9 assists

The Dallas Mavericks haven't come out of the first round in 10 years but I guess that's Rondo's fault.
