I'm going to read five verses and then we're going to pray. Holy spirit said to me one day in my prayer time, "I want you to read the five verses in the book of Ephesians, which talk about activity in the spirit realm, in the heavenly places. I want you to read them consecutively without the verses in-between." And I did, and I was amazed. It sounds like they are consecutive. It sounds like there are no verses in-between. They are so connected and systematically saying one thing and then the next and next. It's almost like God has got five major points and a few verses in between that he explained that point and then you go to the next point. So I'm going to read these five verses from the book of Ephesians that mention the heavenly places. I'm not going to tell you what they are, because I want you to listen, not try to follow me. I'll tell you what they are after I read them so you can write it in your notes. But first, I want you to just listen and I don't want you trying to compare your translation to mine. Just listen.
Ephesians (TPT)
1:3 Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus-all because he sees us wrapped into Christ. This is why we celebrate him with all our hearts!
1:19-20 This is the mighty power that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted him to the place of highest honor and supreme authority in the heavenly realm!
2:6 He raised us up with Christ the exalted One, and we ascended with him into the glorious perfection and authority of the heavenly realm, for we are now co-seated as one with Christ!
3:10 The purpose of this was to unveil before every throne and rank of angelic orders in the heavenly realm God’s full and diverse wisdom revealed through the church.
6:12 Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage.
Isn't that amazing? He starts by saying, "I've given you everything you need to operate in the heavenly realm; this invisible realm." And then he goes on to say, "I did this through Christ when I seated him there." Then the third thing it says is, "And I seated you there with him." And then the fourth thing it says, "So that you could manifest my wisdom to the powers there." Last, he identifies who they are - principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world.
We're going to go there right now. Give me my worship team back up here, please. We're going to engage in air warfare and operate in the air superiority that he has given us. And we're going to enforce the victory of Jesus over the powers of darkness that have been ruling this nation. We're going to start by praying for our government. I'm 63 years young. I've never seen anything that even resembles what is happening in our nation right now.
I've seen leaks. I've seen political turmoil for the last 40 years, in the years that I've been observing, come to a point now where our own intelligence service is capturing and leaking conversations between our president and the heads of nations. It's, I've never seen anything like this. Of course, the reason being that what head of another nation now is going to have a conversation, a private conversation with our president? Everything they say to him, they're going to worry is going to be blasted to the world.
The goal of all of this is to render him ineffective; unable to govern. We have a friend, Matt Lockett; who had a dream a couple of weeks before the elections. In the dream President Trump had won and he was in a camper with the president. The president was telling him how he had won the election. And then he went over to lay down on his bunk. It was a small camper, his "camp", and right over the pillow, a storm came, a tremendous storm came. And the deluge of rain. And right over the pillow, where the president's head would be. In the dream, some invisible force - that would be in the heavenlies (prayer) - something the eye could not see diverted the deluge and the leak could not destroy him.
