I'm getting the distinct impression that IH cats are a lot easier to work on than Caterpillars... All that over-engineering on the Caterpillars and fiddling around to do what otherwise should be basic things but aren't, would cause me to lose lots of hair on my head (or cause me to drink!!)

Mr. King, I believe that when something is hard to repair it's because: 1) They were copying someone else's work (reverse engineering it) and trying to make it just a little bit different to beat their patent or: 2) They just didn't know what the Hell they were doing, and lucked onto something that worked, so they went with it even if it ended up being clumsy. Very early on in my work life one of my boss's told me: The difference between an amateur and a professional is: The professional fixes his mistakes, The amateur lives with them. Later in my working life I was told: Some people make things difficult just because they can. It took me a long time to come to grips with the idea that someone would intentionally make something difficult for someone else. Maybe I come from a very protected childhood. I do wonder about it. Your work looks professional to me, I'd hire you. ben/ michigan
