I love this version, Lucy (19) is just about the best female vocalist in the world right now and Martha, just turned 14, is one of the best at harmonising I have heard. Martha tends to treat singing as a hobby as her passion is show jumping and dressage in which she has won a few competitions.

The songs has been around for decades - the early 80’s. But only played seasonally at Christmas. There have been many versions however Pentatonix rendition 9 years ago (their best song) has been the most popular - until now! Lucy and Martha duet with spectacular heavenly harmonies and chill Wow factor. 👼💫 Lucy remasters many songs to make them into basically a new song, so possibly you never heard it like this. Martha only just turned 14, but you’d be surprised I don’t think they spend much time on any songs, probably the longest time is spent choosing the next dress. They are simply extremely talented.

The song was written in the 80's. The most famous performance is from Pentatonix, but I prefer these 2 young Ladies interpretation. I am not a religious man , but these two took my soul with this song.❤❤❤

I'm sure you know by now that this song is far from new, Mark Lowry wrote it in '84 and Michael English recorded an excellent version of it in the early '90's on an album which was very popular. I had never heard of him or the song when I heard it at a "Young Messiah" concert in the late 80's... blew me away. I've listened to this song 100's of times and even sang it myself once, but I've never heard it like this. I really enjoy your reactions to the Thomas', they are extraordinary. Wait till you hear "The Prayer". Exquisite. Unparalleled.

Great reaction. Martha’s voice has really progressed to upper tier. Of course, Lucy is in the stratosphere (not just the notes she hit here) and is probably the best singer in the world now. I’m wondering if Martha will appear on stage with Lucy at her concert in March. Anybody know?

Not a new song, just their cover version that makes it feel different. Yes Lucy is the dominant voice but Martha is the perfect complement with her harmonies and is getting ever closer to being given more lead vocal opportunities.

barrygentry yes Martha is 5 years and 8 months behind Lucy in maturity and now that Martha has turned 14 growing up her hormones are kicking in and her voice is developing also, but Martha will always be behind in age and Gawd bless Martha for having the sheer guts to sing with Lucy !!!

Something to be aware of is that there is a separate double act called the Thomas Sisters, so best to remember these wonderful singers as Lucy and Martha to ensure you search for the right people.

And there is also a group just "Thomas Sisters" and they are not Lucy and Martha either!!! Confusion ???? Yes I have hammered away at this very subject, some just don't want to change !!!

Kingoo FYI there are two other groups that use the title "The Thomas Sisters" and "Thomas Sisters" !!!! Avoid the confusion by using just Lucy and Martha Thomas. Google the two terms and see what comes up !! I did why I bring this up !! !
