Now check out the acoustic version from his episode of MTV's Unplugged. Completely different vibe, still great. This song is a classic, and this performance is at least 20, maybe 30 years after Layla was a hit in 1970.

Of course it is always a matter of your own music taste. But - in my opinion, Eric Clapton is a step above Jimi Hendrix - I also liked E.C.'s guitar work during J.H.'s lifetime much more ! Yes - but that's just my taste about the music. I just like his songs and his guitar work a little more. Best wishes @all from HH (Germany)
