Team was built to win with Keegan and Kevin being knock down 3 point shooters. They have been awful from 3. De’Aaron has played a lot with them and it kills the spacing and makes the mid range the best option.

The real question is if Malik Monk is good enough to hand the keys to along with what you can get for Fox that the team roster would be better than if you kept Fox. I actually think the answer is yes because Malik is 85-90% of Fox at half the salary and 1/3 if fox gets extension. Monk is seriously underrated because he is in Fox’s shadow.

Great podcast, seriously, as a Kings fan, Mike Brown had to go and I've been saying this way before he even got fired. How he got fired was totally unprofessional and cruel, but I agree with the decision. By the way, incredible statistics on Ellis I wasn't aware of. Bonkers analytics wow. "Defensive minded coach" they say, GIVES DNP's to our CLEAR most impactful defensive player on our team, in Keon Ellis. Struggling with 3 point shooting all season??? Give Keon DNPs even though he's been our best 3 point shooter all season. It's actually mind boggling to me how that was even possible!!!! What an absolute joke, he shouldn't be a head coach in my opinion.

This was an excellent podcast. I agree that the Kings should trade Fox. I don’t like what SAS can offer and I think HOU has their sights on Devin Booker. I think a trade will happen in the offseason. If it does, my dream trade would be: SAS: De’Aaron Fox SAC: Lauri Markkanen + 2031 SAC pick swap back UTA: 1 prospect + filler + 4 picks

Sacramento would be better off trading for future assets than nibbling at play-in/playoff and getting kicked out in the first round. Build around the young core of Murray, Ellis and Carter. If Sacramento wants to get into the playoffs this year, Butler for Fox is the trade. Jimmy Butler has been to the Finals twice, he knows what it takes to get past the first round. Unfortunately, the butler is a rental piece, he will surely look to big markets, that would mean Fox for nothing. Does Sacramento take the chance of Fox for nothing? But, this lineup of Monk, Butler, DeRozan, Murray and Sabonis is no laughing matter. A small ball lineup of Murray, Butler, DeRozan, Monk and Ellis is also alright. With the butler, it would still be not enough to get you into the finals. Still need a rim protector.
