However, if you break down how they handled being nervous against Texas: Great D, two long drives, one explosive TD on offense ( a complete back breaker for Texas) and one explosive TD from the defense. Jason, linemen can be 50 yards downfield if the receiver catches the ball behind the line of scrimmage. Treyveon caught the ball behind the line of scrimmage. The line was only feigning blocks and headed downfield as Treyveon waited for the pass. The runningback has to make sure he catches the ball behind the line of scrimmage.

Much respect for ND. Love how Marcus Freeman coaches and prepares his team. That said if both teams play to their capability, OSU is the clear winner. OSU has better talent on Offense and Defense. However, it’s a game of momentum. OSU clearly was beating Texas but stupid penalties gave Texas the momentum and they made it close. I think ND will capitalize better if OSU makes the same kind of mistakes. ND scares me more than any other team. Not because they are better but, because they wear that underdog mentality very well. I'm so sick of the excuses for Allar. WRs weren't open vs ND but the past 2 years I watched WRs be get open downfield 3 to 4 times a game and Drew look at them and not throw. You can't always see it on TV but I do film reviews and he had many opportunities past 2 yrs to get ball downfield. Drew 100% is to blame. People wonder why KLS checked out half way thru 2023?? I watched the press conference because of all the gossip that ensued, and JF was dissing MF! And it was nothing, if anything MF comes off looking bad. It was the most minor, innocuous ball-busting. And MF is like visibly overwhelmed, and can barely crack a smile or do a little jawing himself and make a comeback. And now the world trembles, you made him mad! Maybe that's why JF did it, he's a good schmoozer and talker, and he knows MF is all earnest and self-serious like a teenager. I don't think if affected the game in any case.
