They are doing a lot of improvements around the park this off season. They renovated two buildings one for victorias pizza and then they turned country kitchen into the VIP lounge which is now Old Dominion Inn. They have also added a bunch of electric car chargers to the parking lot and now the potential mods to i305.

BGW may not be adding a new ride this year technically, the have retracked and remodeled Loch Ness monster. Those improvements to an iconic coaster with low ridership will be well spent money by the park.

Number 3 way for KD to compete with BGW : 3. This one may seem very "insignificant", but am I the only one that REALLY appreciates KD's "Retro Logo" that's nestled in the Flower Bed in front of the Fountains?? Just my opinion, but that logo looks SO MUCH BETTER than the "curved" logo that's on everything else ( this video shows the curved one at the beginning)....KD, please please BRING BACK that Original Logo, & put it on EVERYTHING from advertisement, the Entrance Sign on I-95...even the trash cans...it would be a Fitting & Perfect gesture for the 50th Anniversary next year....

Really enjoyed the Comprehensive Review & your overall enthusiasm for KD. Their 50th Anniversary is fast approaching, so here are just a "few" things that might help KD to actually "compete" and surpass BGW: 1. REPAVE the Front Parking Lot- someone please help with this : I thought the BATTLE OF THE CRATER was in Petersburg, not the FRONT PARKING LOT in Doswell...

Construction walls have already gone up and some concrete has actually been poured in a few spots from the reports I've seen from pass holder preview day. They're wasting no time getting a jump on this project as even Construction for intimidator didn't begin this early in the season.

Number 2 way for KD to compete with BGW (haven't even gotten to the rides yet...) 2. The FRONT ENTRANCE needs a TOTAL MAKEOVER....it's so dated...every time I see it, I get the urge to grow a mullet...

Number 4 way for KD to ever compete with BGW : 4. KD seems to have a recurring problem with having plenty of help...Multiple rides being closed due Lack Of Staffing is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE

We shall see for 2025. Plans change all the time. But if the merger goes thru, after 2025 dont expect big additions. They want to just improve there parks, no new rides, etc for 3 to 4 years & want to lower the debt down quickly. With Ohio AG joining in & DOJ still involved, I would excpet both sides to sell some of there smaller parks off.

I don’t see how KD would be above Cedar Point, Canada’s Wonderland, Kings Island, Carowinds, and Knotts. Cedar Fair tried to revamp KD like they did with the other paramount parks but it didn’t pay off or help yearly attendance which is why they started neglecting it more than the others.

Yup BGW is better in literally everyway and kings island is my favorite park so there's no competition there

I’m sorry taking out the volcano the blast coaster was the biggest mistake because all people are going to do is compare that coaster to the volcano blast coaster . And Busch Gardens has Much better themes then Kings Dominion . I haven’t been back to Kings Dominion since they took out the volcano blast coaster or do I ever plan on going back again !!!!

KD id a fone park but BGW is on a whole different level, thier not even comparable bro....KD is a half a day park, you go to KD to marathon i-305 and Twisted Timbers, hit Dominator and get out if there!💯 BGW is arguably the most beautiful park in the country, great food, shows, AND alot more coasters...again not even close
