I was watching Jacob fail repeatedly at blasting people on the rapids ride, and I was thinking about why I enjoy his videos so much. So many travel and theme park vloggers want to create a dynamic experience with their videos. Quick edits, editing to music, perhaps playing some sort of character, or inserting fancy video effects. Jacob, however, is having none of that. You see what he sees, as he sees it, in a very matter of fact, you-are-there way that is refreshingly free of ego. Here is Jacob parking his car. Here is Jacob riding a rollercoaster. Here is Jacob watching a show. Here is Jacob eating chili. Here is Jacob failing to drench these poor people on that rapids ride. All presented with the exact same emphasis, or lack thereof, exactly as it would be if you were actually just hanging out at Kings Island with Jacob. While many go for a whiz bang video experience, Jacobs videos, even at their most frantic, have an almost pastoral quality to them that I really respond to. I feel like Im rambling now. But you get the idea. TLDR: Carpetbagger vids are pretty darn ok.

There was a place I worked that had an extremely out of focus camera trained on the front door (I was in maintenance and they wanted a tech, not me, to work on it). Anyway, my work day would begin at 5:30 AM. Even though I had a key card to get in I would press the access button. Security would answer and in a very exaggerated Spanish accent, I would say "My name is Sancho Ponza and I am lost and looking for my very good and trusted friend Don Quijote. Have you seen him?" Several seconds later a very startled security guard would answer "no" and apologize. I told them I would keep looking. Two months later the camera was finally fixed and I didn't know. When I pulled my morning ritual the security guard asked "Ernie, is that you?" When I passed the security station three of the guards were laughing uncontrollably.

36:44 nice reimagination of the classic Huss Enterprise. The old Enterprise had you sit in little locked space ship shaped capsule cages with no restraints at all. The centrifugal force would be more than high enough to keep riders in their seats. In case of power failure the wheel would just sink back down and spin down gently.
