Fun fact on how the beast got its name. They were approaching opening day and didn’t have a name for the ride yet and the construction workers used to say that this was a beast of a project to work on. They took that and ran with it and called it the beast. So it didn’t have anything to do with beasts or monsters or anything, it was just about the size of the project.

Thanks for the helpful video. I go to Cedar Point quite often, and have never been to Kings Island. I plan on making the trip down there this season. Canada's Wonderland is on the list as well.

What are you opinions on going the week before memorial day I went last year during that time and there were a lot of schools. Is that consistent. My trip plans are Kings Island get in around noon on May 20th and 21st (not first time) Cedar Point 22nd 23rd all day (first time for me not for friend)

@@coaster_dude22 I wasn’t at kings island for Memorial Day last year. Was for cedar point. I heard that kings island was busy for that holiday, but cedar point was business as usual. So I’m uncertain. General rule of thumb is that if schools are out, cedar point or kings island are busy. Kings island is in a larger metro area though, so that might make the difference. There are more people to come for one day off school.

Our Family is going on April 26th and 27th. Can't wait. Last year we did Cedar Point and had the best time, this year its KI. Already missing CP. Thinking of going to CP on May 13th,l Monday (off work that day) solo trip, but would prefer someone to ride with. Hah.

We will be there for the first time this summer. I always have at least one person (usually me) with a pass to cover parking and discounts and then we can do daily tickets for everyone else. Seems to be a good strategy so far for when we travel outside our home parks.

One of the best places to eat outside of Kings Island is a pizza joint called Two Cities! ;p

Question about Kings Island and Cedar Point restaurants. When do they close restaurants/ordering food if park closes lets say 8pm?

Restaurants are open til 8. I believe bars close an hour early. The exception is the bars on the beach / hotel at cedar point. Those close at midnight
