My biggest concern is Tennessee QB Nico killing OSU on scrambling to pick up key 3rd downs with his legs - OSU DL has allowed much less mobile QB’s to easily step up in pocket and have a easy 15 yards to run for up middle of field - OSU DL also misses ALOT of tackles/Sacks opportunities

But in your overly-simplistic framing you reflect two glaring truths: 1). Ryan Day practically chased Kyle McCord out of Columbus. As is his pattern, he didn’t take responsibility for the loss, and he was happy to allow the lunatic psycho-billies in your fanbase to hang the loss around his young quarterback’s neck rather than stepping up as a leader and taking the hit for his bonehead playcalling and lack of nerve. 2). We’re always told that Ryan Day is a QB guru. Yet every time a backup has to come in to do anything they’re completely inept. Add to that the fact that your system is completely dependent on not just good, but great QB play. You’re telling us that a team with 5-star line talent and a 5-star running back can’t run the ball against the 3rd best team in the SEC? 😐😳. Problem. And this gets at the heart of why your program is labeled soft. Excuse after excuse for just being limp and incompetent against far far lesser talented teams. Should it be a felony for teams that beat you at home to plant their flag? Or…..should it be embarrassing for you to lose to anyone, much less Michigan, who comes into your house with 5-losses? You know what a real coach would have done? A real coach would have physically corralled his whiny histrionic players into the locker room and said, “You don’t want them planting the flag? How’s about you tackle the converted linebacker on 3rd and 6? How’s about you stay gap sound against the walk-on cancer survivor QB scrambling up the middle? How’s about you make your FG’s? And, reality check, how’s about I and the rest of the coaching staff leverage our strength instead of feeling compelled to run into our opponents’ strength?” But you don’t have a real leader as a coach. You have a guy who wanders around the field like an escaped mental patient, completely oblivious to what’s going on with his own players. All your problems start and end in the Woody.

I'm glad you brought up the stat about Howard having among the least deep ball throws. Because they are so scared to turn the ball over, I feel like Chip is scared to throw it deep. To me you can almost predict that all their plays are going to be throws under 30 yds, runs up the middle, screens and slants. Thats about it. nothing to scare other teams even though the Bucks have all the talent to do so. The coaches are too afraid to call the good plays that can crush the opposition! Not enough explosive plays on Offense against top ranked teams!
@timper43265 күн бұрын
It's not. What makes it so special is It's a rare playoff game for us, and we finally have a good defense, we have the best WRs and RBs, and then it gets sketchy after that. Again, do we have the willpower to get these next four wins. I'll go as far as to say the next win. Can we set up the proper schemes, can we call the right plays, can we execute flawlessly, can we make a damn field goal. Every player on the field will tell you they haven't reached their potential yet but it's now or never. We're in the one and done zone now. Git R dun or go home. Go Bucks !!!!

Doug: ….and OSU Offense only scored 10 points against a 5-loss team, soooooo, you’re getting on Tennessee Offense for averaging 22 points against good teams⁉️
@13kimosabi135 күн бұрын
Doug => it’s a fairly easy concept that you perpetually miss => Can Your QB Create a downfield threat (DFT)? Is it real or imaginary ? Does the Defense believe it ? Can your Offense capitalize on it => if and when their Defense doesn’t? JT Barrett couldn’t Howard’s percentage is higher than Barrett’s but lower than McCord’s, Stroud’s, Burrow’s and Cardale Jones. Doesn’t mean Ohio State can’t win a Natty with him (think Krenzel) but he MUST complete a lot of short to medium passes where the receivers run for a ton of “after the catch” yards and Will MUST reduce or eliminate his asinine factor throughout the game……meaning 1 or less INT’s, no 15-20 yard losses because he tripped over his own 2 feet, no fumble as you’re cross the end zone, no sliding too late or calling time out after time has expired. Will can’t be his usual self (unless everybody => usually Caleb Downs saves his arse and helps OSU win in spite of Howard). Wake up Dud……
@glennnorris43464 күн бұрын
Let me get this straight..... The Bucks are considering WHO will eventually start on the offensive line in the first round AND that Ohio State will win the Natty? Do you guys realize how stupid that is? My score is TN 17 and the Bucks 14. The cold weather will dictate that both teams will have to run the football!

RYAN DAY'S BORN ON 3RD BASE TENDER🤔RD has lost every consequential game except against Clemson. There's so many things that could have changed his future. The'19 Clemson loss. The '20 Rivalry game that ScUm skipped hurt. The way RD chose McCord af turning down JJ. Bad ST & Avg-Scared kicker. '21,'22,'24 Rivalry game OSU had the better roster but lost all 3. ScUm broke RD convincing him passing made him soft. 20 mill $ roster, at home Nov 30th in the Shoe to 6-5 1st-yr HC & RD handed him the Playbook instead of Connor Stallions actually stealing it. No matter what the Woody is pushing OSU fans will never accept losing to ScUm. Beat UT.

They just are the most ungrateful people I ever seen, “let’s discount every big game won and only look at the losses.” Like I can’t watch Ohio st media even cover this team for the playoff game for long cuz I just get a headache because all they talk about is what is wrong with Ohio st when ONLY AND EXCLUSIVELY looking at this year Ohio st Michigan game. They just say screw everything that happened the whole year, screw all the positive Ohio st has done, screw everything good and let’s cry and wallow in our misery, while we criticize the team to get over the game and win this game no matter what.

@@brandonebert7725 He’s never lost 3 games in a season so I don’t even understand your comment. He got to a Natty. This is his 4th playoff appearance. Urban had 2 and one of those involved a 31-0 embarrassment. I’m not suggesting Day can’t be better, but people compare Day to Cooper and act like Day isn’t even close to Urban when the reality is that’s completely backwards. A few observations: 1. Will Howard has been BAD, REALLY BAD, at throwing the deep ball. Do we really think he'll start flinging it 60yds downfield, stretching the defense, in freezing temps? 2. Will Howard has played BAD, REALLY BAD, vs PSU and UM. Do we think he'll put together a great game much less 4 great games? 4. Does Day have the courage to sit Howard (see point 3) and put in the heir apparent?

I believed at the beginning of the season => if Day loses 3 games with this team, he’ll be fired. I still think so and hope so. Buckeye Nation railroaded Kyle McCord out of town for losing far less and would have tarred and feathered both him and Day for the “game to game” performances Will Howard has had this year.

Dooms Day has taken the Buckeye brand and made it soft and questionable. Urban had us respected and dominate. Now everyone is questioning who are we and how good we really are ? What's at stake is our reputation across the college football landscape. Losing will make recruiting harder and donors wallets tighten. That's the reality of the position that Dooms Day has put us in. This game is HUGE for the future of the program.
