@Bryan Gray Thanks so much for making this video mate. It would have most definitely taken you some time to figure out how best to sum it all up, but the effort is definitely greatly appreciated. I have my eyes on a CP125, and this video taught me an aweful lot about them that I didnt know!

Hello, I have the most decked out Mcculloch super pro 125c from the factory I have ever seen. The 125c I have has the carburetor pre-heater muffler assembly and an undamaged functional chain brake, it needs a few things that I have already ordered. The paint is about 85% plus and the saw is a 9 out of 10. I will send some pictures of the saw if you would like, just let me know where to send them. I also have a couple of poulan pro 655bp's, some Mac 1000's and just about every 82cc mcculloch muscle saw and a bunch of others.(FYI)alot of my saws are collector condition or are rare. Thanks for your videos!!!

Good info. Tnx much, will be good if you can post that catalogue. My 125s both have single jet carbs, I'm having trouble finding twin jet ones . . Could you list the make and model of one of yours. Cheers.
@mistermacgray
@mistermacgray 10 ай бұрын
The pm1010 carbs are "the same". You have to mod them by putting the non adjustable carb choke setup on the 1010 carb and drill the linkage arm to accept the 125 throttle linkage plus drill and put the hose barb for the 125 pump on the 1010 top plate. The carb bodies between the 125 and 1010 are identical.

@@mistermacgray Well that's great as luckily (😂) I happen to have a "few" 10s 10s as well. Thank you for taking the time to write a detailed instruction, I hope it helps others also. Impressive that the same carb can run more than twice the CCs and airflow. I bought a 3120 carb, a big beauty, Walbro WG6 J3, 30mm on the choke side and 27mm on the throttle, thought it might work, coming from same size saw. Carb body is too big to fit without stand off tract, linkages are tricky but not impossible, I'll try the 10 10 carb first 👍

Great info and very helpful. I have a question. Did some of them come without a manual oiler?
@mistermacgray
@mistermacgray 2 жыл бұрын
All came manual oilers, even automatic oiler ones to be able to provide extra oil in pitchy wood.

@@mistermacgray The 35 has such a weird carb. I used to cut with my Grandads Super 33, which was painted black/yellow. Alas, it was lost when my dad loaned it out and never got it back. ☹️

@@tommalone4310 I'm not onto the carbs either. The 36 outside has a bad oring or missing so it leaks fuel when it runs.

Just stumbled accross your channel, and suscribed. Nice set of manuals. We have a lot in common, take a look at my channel (MR.OBSOLETES VINTAGE HOMESTEADING) and you will see me talking about and useing McCullochs, especially the PM610 and 650. Been useing them for over 40 years. My 650 is the first year model, and it didnt come with the decompression valve, the next year did. Nice to see someone working on a variaty of Mac;s.

So is the cp125 a inferior saw to the sp125 or 125c?
@mistermacgray
@mistermacgray 3 жыл бұрын
No, just as technology along with research and development went on along with feedback from the people who used them daily, improvements were made and because there were so many improvements, a new model evolved. McCulloch had their guys out in the field learning and getting feed back from loggers.

@mistermacgray

@@justinweaver8787 nothing that I know of. If anything, the manual decomp would get broken off if snagged but even then where this one is located, can't say it would be a huge issue. Pretty much shares the same body construction as the sp125.

@@justinweaver8787 the sp125 and sp125c aren't rare by any means, I see more of them that the cp125 and 797. You just don't see people giving up their saws as easily is all. If the sp125 was so rare, I wouldn't have cut one up in my latest video series and put a BDC14 in it. Even then that's just a gas tank that got effected.
