You gave me the idea I needed. I wanted my small tent under the awing without losing too much space. With the side wall installed like you have it it is perfect. Thanks.

I use a support pole in the middle of the awning and peg it down with shock cord hooks, rock solid , I've had it looking like a parachute in strong wind , yet it stays right where I put it .

I hear the velcro is useless, and water pools in the awning. You have the same issues? Also how is this better than other quality brands? Another tip is to drill holes in the bottom on the legs, then peg to minimise blowing away?

I have had no issues with the Velcro. I have had water pooling I try to keep the angle as steep as I can overnight if rain is forecast as this seems to help it run off

Have had one for about a year now. Never opened it. Hope this virus goes away soon so we can get out there and maybe try it out

I’m after a cheap awning option for my Jayco pop up van. Do u think this would be suitable or would I encounter problems with the height?
@blackllama13 жыл бұрын
I’m not that good with vans but with my 2 inch lift and big tyres this awning is almost at its limit for height. I have heard of people making a larger hole in the frame so that it can go lower when used up high. You could look at doing that. I have heard good reports

Just put the pegs in a foot further out and you take out more slack
