Something about this type chicken will always prevail over "franchised" chicken. Like..I will always prefer home-cooked fried chicken over Chick-fil-A or Popeyes. It's like you can taste the love it was made with. Dont know why that is.

Can we get a ranking going of the spots you've been to? Like a website or something where you give them a rating out of 10 and list name and location. Also, you HAVE to try Sierra Madre in Bergenfield (especially their Dinakdakang and Sisig). The Dinakdakang you have to get there before 1pm for, they make batches and it's usually all gone after that. I eat it as is, and sometimes pan fry the leftovers to make it crispy, and I do add some salt and pepper because I don't like the bitterness of the onions sometimes, but it's my after-gym cheat meal every single Friday - two large Dinakdakangs for the weekend.
