In the Final Fantasy XV DLC game Episode Ignis, Ignis referenced Nyx as the Glaive who was able to wield the ring of the Lucii. Ignis and Nyx are the only non-royal Lucians who were deemed worthy by the Kings of yore to wield the ring of the Lucii and access its powers

​@@Weathersohot The plot is terrible. The whole movie is total nonsense. And it is irrelevant to the story of XV. 1. They fight over a ring that NO ONE can use. Villains in this movie are dumb. 2. They fight for a crystal that they can't use either. Villains in this movie are dumb x2. 3. Regis fights to ‘save’ Noctis (Noctis is having the time of his life on the other side of the continent, and no one from Nifflheim cares lol). 4. Nyx fights for a city that falls anyway. 5. Luna fights to protect a ring that Ardyn will give to Noctis anyway. Not to mention the reason Galahd's refugees betray Lucis is totally stupid. They literally ally themselves with the empire that killed their families and destroyed their home.

Kingsglaive had an interesting premise and an incredible world setting. But without Noctis there, all the plot makes a nonsense. And all the events of the movie ends being irrelevant to the story of XV. Such a shame. I expected more protagonism from Regis and Lunafreya being something more than just a damsell in distress.

The kings here were talking shit. They knew if the niffs took the ring to Gralea Noctis would never lift the darkness. So they were in a position where they were forced to give Nyx their powers here.
