Yeah! It was said in one of the interviews I think that since the team who did Kingsglaive is almost separate from the game team, they were not constrained by the limitations of gaming, so they were able to make this very beautiful movie.

Kaz, just a perspective, AC didn't seem to have respect for the original game because the original game is visually inferior compared to the AC movie, and I think that is why the FF7 remake is very timely, so we can visually sync AC and the game finally.

I consider this such a marvellous piece of art that has cost so much money not only to produce but also to make it look so realistic to a point that NOBODY not even Hollywood has done so far for a CG movie that it deserves at least a chance to be watched on big screen!!! Whether you are a FF lover or hater I would just humbly say ... give yourself a try to REALLY connect with the content....and remember if you feel there are some unexplained things it is JUST because it is PART of the videogame which is releasing on Nov. 29th. Same could be said about FFVII Advent Children, so far best sword fights in CGI and for it's time (2005 and 2009 for director's cut) the best CGI graphics, yet never had a chance.

The strange thing is ... I don't see Noctis as the '' prince '' always with the best clothes, gold everywhere ... etc. He's very spoiled, but very simple. Even the clothes in the game are very common, except at the end of the game they get new clothes. An Audi..It seems too much for him.

0:07 Animation tricks: It's very.. veeeery complicated to animate a CGI character putting on a jacket... so here it's what you do.. You start the animation of him putting the jacket on, which is just a cloth mesh that will NEVER fit his model without clipping all over the place... then you have another character walking in front of the camera and completely obscuring the main character for a moment.. that moment, you swap the previous model with another model with the jacket on and just finish the animation making it look like he put on a jacked... He didn't. They are 2 different models.

for me, the numerous product placement makes sense. place yourself in a NYC boulevard or Time Square at the extreme, the buildings will be filled with ads. its the same in Insmnia, its a modern city like the ones we have

Ehhh...tbf, he KNEW this was going to happen, and yet refused to take precautions such as safety routes (if even possible) during the assault. It would've made him a king to put his people first, so he put his son first in order to avoid suspicion for sending his son away. Had he taken precautions to actually protect the people, Noctis might have figured out what was happening.

The only thing I didn't like about this movie is that in some scenes the background ambience seemed either too quiet or like there was no background ambience almost at all. This particular sequence above wasn't bad, but like in the first battle sequence in the desert, there was a sand storm commencing, but you couldn't really hear the wind from it as a whole. In the restaurant scene when the crew is discussing the two kingdoms' terms, they're in a city... yet you can't really hear car engines nor horns, people talking nearby, nor any general sound bouncing off of the city buildings. I could've accepted even some nearby club music. If I was a creative director of this production, I sure would've said something: "Yo, we need to add some city/desert ambience to make the atmosphere of their surroundings feel real and come alive." I think Final Fantasy the Spirits Within did this a lot better. Other than that, animation was on point for sure and I don't know any other video game production company doing anything like this in fine detail of realism.
