I love this song. The opening is pure build up, culminating in, withoit issing a beat, a very dramatic song, and then after a bit, you hear a remix of roxas' theme! When it ends a lovely, brief piano bit plays to transition back to the main song, and then, you hear a remix of sora's theme, which just sounds awesome the way its played. I hope vanitas returns in kh3 just so we can hear this song again!

I’m pretty sure everybody will have to and will return in KH3. Aqua, Ansem the Wise, Ventus, (saving him will cause Vanitas to come back), Terra, Roxas, Namine, and Xion are the people who Sora will save. Also Ansem the Wise might find a safe way to transfer Ventus’s heart from Sora’s to Ventus’s body and have Namine, Roxas, and Xion be their own person with his technology.

Vanitas NEEDS to be the final boss of Kingdom Hearts III. Him ultimately overthrowing the Xehanorts and causing their demise (once and for all) near the end would be incredibly awesome, and establish just how badass he is. Sora and Ventus would be the ones to battle him, because they are the ones who are most connected to him. Roxas doesn't count because Vanitas rooted from Ventus, and Sora held Ventus' heart for a long time, and that most likely made a big impact on his personality and shaped him to the person we know him as. (And possibly, the reason why Sora looks almost identical to Vanitas was because Ven's heart and memories of Vanitas shaped his appearance as well.)

That is why i think Ventus, when awakened from his slumber, will fight Sora, Donald and Goofy, as he thinks it is Vanitas. What i want to happen is: 1. Sora, Donald and Goofy enter Castle Oblivion. 2. Obviously having no memory of Castle Oblivion from CoM, set off among the floors to search for Ventus as King Mickey and Yen Sid (Disney lel) have already located Aqua and Ventus by this point (In DDD it shows them talking about it) 3. They find Ventus and use the Master Keeper to unlock the door to the Chamber of Sleep and waken Ventus. 4. Ventus notices the resemblance to Vanitas of Sora and then my own made mechanic of the game will shift into gear. When you are about to battle Ventus, if there are multiple characters you can play as, the camera will shift across your screen so that, you won't be fighting Ventus, you'll be fighting Sora. 5. Once you have defeated Sora or vice-versa, there will be a cutscene of Sora, Donald and Goofy or Ventus lying on the floor, then Mickey and Riku and Aqua if they have found her, will arrive with Ventus waking up to see Aqua and Mickey and to come to his senses. 6. Ventus' theme will start playing and a big dialogue cutscene will happen, not going to explain this one. 7. Ventus, Aqua, Riku, Mickey, Sora, Donald and Goofy will leave Castle Oblivion and Aqua will use the Master Keeper to turn the Castle into it's former glory, The Land of Departure. 8. Hopefully by this point, Sora and Riku will have learned how to have Keyblade Gliders and Donald, Goofy and Mickey will use either the Gummi Ship or the Star Crystal from BBS that Mickey uses. Sora will try to summon his Keyblade but will fail because, he no longer has a Keyblade (Or well for a short space of time) Because Ventus has awoken and really Sora can only wield a Keyblade because a part of Ventus was in him which is not now that he has woken up and technically the last part of Ventus within Sora was destroyed by Riku in DDD when Ventus' Armored Nightmare was protecting Sora. Hehe. That's a long run down.

if you're wondering why vanitas looks like sora, when soras heart came in contact with vens heart he directly contacted vanitas heart. Vanitas slmost lost consciousness because he was engulfed by absolute darkness and that was when vanitas heard soras voice then he saw light which surrounded his body then he heard a coice saying ‘lets open the door’ and he then had a normal boy’s face

I'm too old for Sora now. SquareEnix couldn't keep up with the times... I THINK I was about 10 yrs old when the first game came out. Now I'm 22... soon to be 23. I still love these games.

I never understood vanitas too well, yeah I know his back story and everything but at the end of ven's story he looks like sora, but at the end of aqua's story he looks like ventus. did he look like ventus because both vanitas and ven were in vens heart orrr... makes me think

Would've made more sense for Vanitas's face to have stayed blank until after Ventus found his way to Sora's heart for healing. The face reveal should've been done in kh3 itwould have been better and made more sense.

The thing is his face does stay blank until Ven contacts sora heart. when Xehanort prepared to leave Ven on destiny islands Sora reached out and offered Ven help to heal the part he lost. The moment Sora healed Ven's broken heart from Vanitas being pulled out, Vanitas felt Ven reach out to someone else and took the appearance of that heart. That's why Vanitas looks just like Sora with different eye color and hair color.
