I'm always amazed of how British actors are able to drop their thick British accent to play non british roles. I could barely understand a word from Kingley's mouth in this interview, yet he sounds like he did a decent job with patwa.🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 Anyway, can't wait to see this movie 🤗 One ❤️ from Jamaica 🇯🇲 🇯🇲🇯🇲

Very intellectual responses here from Kingsley Ben Adir, who was excellent as Malcolm X in Regina King’s directorial debut One Night in Miami. Patois is indeed not a dialect but a language, like Haitian Creole. It has rules and etc, but it is treated merely like bad English.

I wonder !..... You claim to have spoken to Bob's friends in preparation for your role! Did you or Gawaine who played the role of 'Gilly Dread' ever meet or speak with one of Bob's closest friends and confidante... Gladstone Antonio 'Ras Gilly' Gilbert? He cooked for Bob; went on tour all the time with him. He was a member of Bob's Football Team 'House of Dread' and most importantly was protector of the children. He is Stephen's Godfather! The many photos speak volumes to their friendship! Was Gilly ever contacted about the film or even the Jamaican leg of the premiere where people who would not have even given Bob the time of day, in his struggle to Legendary Status, were tumbling over each other to go profile!! Hypocrites and Parasites!! If you and producer Ziggy Marley can answer those questions then maybe Bobs' spirit will rest in peace. There are always more questions than answers! Gilly is too decent a Man to say a word, but evil pervades when good people keep silent!! Hail BOB MARLEY!!....MY AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN NATIONAL HERO!!!❤️💚💛
