not having flash on Malph is very bad. You can Flash R, or you can even Q flash, and that's very strong. Ignite don't give Malphite so much.

why get frozen heart when you can get randuins which also gives hp, more armor, crit resist, and a slow active. Whats so good about frozen heart its only like 400 gold cheaper

Because 1. 400 gold is a lot. 2. The attack speed slow would be helpful against the more of the enemy team (diana and graves/draven) and helpful for his team and not just help himself to survive longer. 3. As he says in the video he doesnt regard hp as that useful of a tank stat as compared to resistances generally and the resistances also synergizes more on malphite because of his w than they would on other champs (he gets extra tanky and does some more damage when he gets armor)

Frozen heart also gives haste =more damage and utility as you can use abilities more often. Usually I prefer randuins on most champs if the enemy has 2+ crit champs but I think frozen heart works better on malphite for this game.

He is pretty good support too. That 6 engage is digging wacky. The aa slow down is death to an adc in a 2v2 and they have a really hard time punishing you for being a melee with your passive and longish Q range. Out of landing he is an R machine but even building full tank you can still 1v1 a lot of their team if you land ult and are a monster in team fights.
