Washing natural hair| How I wash my hair in sections and deep condition my hair in sections. I focus the shampoo on my scalp only, I massage or scrub my scalp with the pads of my fingers and I do not scratch my scalp with my finger nails. First I separate my hair into sections before I shampoo my hair outside of the shower in 6 twists.

Thanks! I used Eden Bodyworks Jojoba Monoi Deep Conditioner. I don't deep condition with heat, I just let it sit for a hour or more.

OMG ur video may actually be the answer for me!! I have been blessed with beautiful hair but maintaining it is a problem as breakages are endless since perming years ago! i done the big chop 3 years ago and my hair has grown considerable BUT Im not getting the length i once had!! my edges are furry but break off to nothing so easily - probably due to me always keeping my hair covered with lacefronts (non adhesive) due to living in england where the weather is just terrible!! how do i cover my hair without suffercating it - i am fully aware my hair needs to breathe but i am concerned with how the breakages will look after styling which is putting me off leaving it all out (extremely shy of my hair since breakage)

I normally do not cover my hair because the weather is mild in the area I live in. From time to time I cover my hair with a satin bonnet/scarf and then a place a hat on top of it.

The Giovanni tea tree triple treat does leave my hair feeling a little bit more stripped, but I have an itchy scalp and it seems to be only shampoo that can help with that. I try to only focus the shampoo on my scalp.

SheShe Diary Some conditioners can work well as deep conditioner. I use conditioners as deep conditioners sometimes.I don't normally use oil as part of my wash routine.

I'm not too concerned about using silicones, so I'm pretty sure some of the hair products I use have silicones.
