I wouldn't mind living there...i lived in a rough part of Mexico city for many years. When i finally moved out i found comfort and peace in rural Texas. Where i worked in a farm for some time. Managed to study get a career and to this day i still call Texas my true home. Living a slow life with my loved ones is the way to live.

How was Mexico? Were the Cartels really everywhere?
@BerserkerRider94Ай бұрын
@ryneagheilim9782 People are mostly nice however if you're a tourist you might get overcharged for basic things. If you plan to visit I'd recommend you stay away from these hoods Tepito, Xochimilco (it's so so when it comes to danger) I'd avoid downtown), Santa Martha Acatitla(lived there), Tlahuac. Roma might be a touristic sight and prevalent in nightlife but most of those places are backed by Cartels under the shadows. That's how it's seen Mexico city.

"Kino's Journey - the Beautiful World" is like watching a hand of poker between skilled players, who choose not to go "all in". Elements are mostly subtle and deliberate until the major plot twist, which is when the audience collectively takes in a breath.

Nice episodic anime, with short stories each episode focusing on a new city each episode. In each new episode is a new city, but each city has a certain "twist" or "theme" surrounding that city. Each city are considered almost isolated from other cities so the cities have their own laws, systems, beliefs and Kino the main character is an adventurer who travels to all these different cities to learn as much as possible and he often tells the stories of previous cities to the people in other cities. Without spoiling anything, just imagine you travelled to another country for the first time the culture and everything would be a completely different experience, this whole concept is overexaggerated a lot in kino's journey to the point where some cities may feel futuristic and some may feel ancient. The ideologies of the people in the cities is comparable to religions, but it's just their ideologies because the cities they live in have their own social constructs not shared with other cities. It's not supposed to be an action packed anime, although it does have several action scenes and moments as comes naturally with entering unfamiliar territory and facing possible dangers along the way.

"and he often tells the stories of previous cities to the people in other cities." Kino is female.
@GrowingDownUnder Жыл бұрын
@@Seneca_Williams Kino is genderless in the anime, there is an episode where someone asks kino's if they're a girl. Kino basically replied with that it's not important and doesn't have a gender. Or to be more specific gender fluid, Kino happily goes by either boy or girl
@jamesstutz6907 Жыл бұрын
@@GrowingDownUnder Kino is a girl because there is an episode in where we first met Kino. She was in a dress and went by a different name. Kino's original name is Lily. The episode is called The Land of Adults.
@GrowingDownUnder Жыл бұрын
@@jamesstutz6907 I saw the episode and you completely missed the part where Kino doesn't care about gender. Kino is happily to be a boy or girl because kino is gender neutral. Being in a dress doesn't make you a girl neither does having the name lily. Gender is what ever you identify as, I think Kino actually mainly identifies as a boy hence the name Kino which comes from the mechanic kino was saved by and kino basically took on that identity for himself.

The guy that Kino gets into a conflict with ( he’s not too bright) , the reason-he came to that country because murder is legal, However.. he didn’t take notice that nobody in this country is killing each other, they all get along, But kino Did notice this( a place like that would be like the Wild West-Gunfighting,fist fighting, However none of that is happening in this country), it is legal But Not in the way this guy thinks

Killing is legal? that guy makes it sound like the purge in that town
@LabTech414 ай бұрын
It's like the old man said: there's a difference between something being legal and something being permitted; there's no law, but murder is prevented through social convention, in that anyone who steps out of line and tries to kill another is themselves killed. So long as everyone's on the same page with that, and everyone knows that anyone who tries to be the aggressor will be taken out, what you have is a society that's very much prepared and able to defend themselves, because it's their own responsibility, not the enforcers of a law.
