I used to hate it every time I came to yoga practice. As I started to understand what is yoga it’s all about, based on exploring the body soul mind and spirit journey being peace and focus, I become addicted to yoga practice everyday......and become to understand why I used to hated yoga. Because the instructor had a bad energy.....she was just plain individual energy. No encouragement. Thank you Kino, you are very inspiring to all.

I don't understand how a teacher of yoga can begin a speech like this (I couldn't hear more than 2 minutes), when yoga is such a blessed and divine experience. But maybe it's just an american style to present a practice and a living that is so sacred.

Hi Kino, I'd like to hear more about how you maintain the discipline to practice 6 days a week for 14 years and if there were any difficulties along the way, for eg, - the urge to take a break from the practice or the practice getting too monotonous for you and how you overcame whatever difficulties you had to keep up with a daily practice that lasted so long.

Thank you Kino for sharing your inspiring story and approach to ashtanga yoga! I have just ordered The Power of Ashatanga and Sacred Fire from amazon and look forward to reading them. I have a quick question, I have been practicing martial arts now for 20+ yrs and my body has developed and been shaped according to its practice and my training. I have found that this gets in the way of performing allot of the asana fully. Is it possible to hinder asana practice through conflicting excercises?

Hi Kino! You are very inspiring!! I've started doing a yoga practice the past few months and I've noticed that my flexibility and my strength have improved. However I also take dance classes, so there are some days which I experience some lower back pain. Should I continue with my yoga practice on these days or should I just rest?

Kino, You mentioned that you do yoga everyday. I thought resting on the new and full moons was recommended in Ashtanga Yoga. Could you comment on this? Thank you.

Kino, I Had surgery about 6 months ago to remove a cyst from my wrist. While it created a greater range of motion and less pain in my wrist while doing pushups and planks.. My wrist is still not able to bend at a complete 90 degree angle, something I know is essential in handstands and other positions in yoga. Would wrist strengthening exercises be beneficial? My doctor really had no rehabilitative advice other than stretches. I don't want to be stuck unable to practice yoga at 18 years old!
