Hello✌ I noticed that you don't use a portable solar system to charge your batteries. These systems are available cheaply with a foldable solar panel that you could attach over your luggage. It weighs almost nothing, you would have USB ports for charging equipment and your range would increase enormously.😉 Well, I could think of coarser tires (mountain bike) and something that protects the bike's batteries when driving through water😁
@Joseafrica7 ай бұрын
I was thinking same tires, but make the mudgards easily removable with wingnuts. Imagine when that mud dries!
@xmateinc7 ай бұрын
You need atleast a 200 watt panel to get any real trickle charge, and that starts adding weight. I’ve been looking into it but I’ve decided to just carry one extra battery and train to ride with no assist. So I can save my motor for when I really need it.
@reinerstahl997 ай бұрын
@@xmateinc I bought a 100 watt panel that charges my car battery while it's stationary, because electronics constantly tell me about the battery (Mercedes is nice), and if I wasn't there for 2 weeks, the battery was completely discharged. Now the panel in the windshield receives my battery so that I don't have to constantly replace it with a new one because it's defective. The new solar system cost me 35 euros. A new car battery costs 120 euros, which is a good deal for me. But there would also have to be a technical solution to charge the normal bicycle battery with solar energy without an additional battery while driving in order to improve the range by 50% or more. I'll ask someone who knows miot e-bikes and their repairs.😉

On my training rides Ive got 55 miles with 40 percent of my battery left. The weight of the bike really does take a toll on your legs, and the bosch motor I have you can feel a bit of resistance when the motor is off.
