Used to live 25 mins drive from Kinsale on the Cork city side when an Saturday afternoon walk along the Kinsale harbor and a couple of pints at the local pubs were always pleasant. Btw, smoking in the pub was long banned in Ireland so this video must’ve come from those good old days.

This is an old video. How do I know? Because people are smoking in the Bullman pub. Smoking in workplaces, including pubs, has been illegal in Ireland since 2004. Deaths from cardiovascular disease have fallen precipitously since then! 🇮🇪

And Irish pubs have lost all of their character because of it. Most people drink at home now. If I want to die of smoking that's a man's choice in a free country. But this country is not free anymore. Just ask one of the thousand Africans that arrive daily. Freer than Mogadishu yes, but not Ireland. By 2040 we'll be a minority on our own island, something 800 years of British invasions couldn't do,

I'm a Dub, but some of my ancestors came from Cork, i love Cork. This story makes me sad, i like England, but it annoys me the way the English back then just pushed everyone around, the English today, i mean, its not their fault y'know?. We barely ever beat them in battle. It would have been very interesting to see what Ireland would be like today if the Spanish had won, or the French.

This is an old video - Ireland was the first country to ban smoking in bars and all public workspaces in 2004. Look at everybody's clothes, they all look so 90s! Although you're right, we do like to smoke in Ireland. :D
